  2. I LOVE Cheap Trick. I remember going to see them a bunch of times at the old Sam Houston Coliseum and later seeing them at the Summit, which is now home to Lakewood Church. I may have even had an 8 track or 2 by them back in the day - lol.

  5. I used to work with a lady who would see them in concert anytime they played in California, no matter how far. She has many autographs, she is to this day a real groupie!!!

  7. Sorry to say I still have my original 8-Track player that was once in my Chevy, along w/all my favorite tapes from the 70's & 80's (well, most my favorites).
It still works if anyone is interested in it. It's all part of my past I either have throw out or donate or sell(which is not likely w/the economy the way it is). Lots of vinyl albums as well (Micheal Jackson's Thriller in excellent condition -for fans of his). Oops...Not Craigslist here. I hope Kittenmaster doesn't mind.

  8. There are so many people who don't know what an 8-track is; the only reason I remember them is because my parents had a lot of them (and a state-of-the-art hi-fi solid state stereo system to play them on, along with vinyl). Speaking of old-school ways to play music, who remembers those weird little plastic adapters you had to put in just so in order to play 45s? If your adapter wasn't perfect or if your 45 was messed up, you couldn't fit the adapter in to save your life.

  9. I remember them. They came in crazy colors and they hardly EVER worked right. One record player I had came with a piece that went over the middle of the turn table on top of the album spindle. That worked much better.

  10. *sigh* my dad still has his, complete with the 45 adapter that goes over the spindle...He still plays some of his Glenn Miller albums

The dream police, they come to me in my bed.
The dream police, theyre coming to arrest me, oh no."
