Good morning everyone! The kitties have prepared something very special for us today: quiche! Any kind of filling you can imagine, the kitties have been VERY busy since the wee hours of the morning.
Also a distinguished French Kitty has provided fresh, hot cinnamon buns with lots of icing.
Juice bar is open, a Russian Blue is doing the honors, and calico kittens are pouncing and clambering over each other to get to us for pets and purrs.
..... good morning Sio!..... I'll take a nice hot cinnamon bun and a beautiful Russian blue!......
... going to be HOT here again today, and humidity 2000%!...... I don't know why anyone down here even BOTHERS to try and apply make up.... it just melts off as soon as you step outside!.....
... lucky for me it's a shorts and tee shirt day, so no makeup needed..... unlucky, I have to finish the duties HAZEL left from Monday....... can't believe the week is almost over!.....

We have a playdate tonight with Maddie's friend Elena. Her mom and I are friends and they just had their 2nd baby, so we get to see baby Nina too.

Morning, all! I heard from Mr. K last night; sounds like his trip is kind of rough. I miss my hubby. Is it the 23rd yet?
Georgie is still being a good boy, although he was hogging the couch last night when I wanted to sleep on it. You know you're a cat lover when you end up sleeping in the oversized chair so as not to disturb the king of the household :)

Hubs is at the Renfaire again this weekend, and I'm sewing up one more shirt for him tomorrow. Brought the fabric to cut out today on the big tables here in the library/liberry. No kitty pattern weights to interfere (lol). And I don't have to crawl around on the floor.
Indian buffet for lunch tomorrow (smacks lips in anticipation). I'll visit the Renfaire on Sunday for awhile, then back home to pack for upcoming fantasy vacation to "Fantasy Camp for SCA folks" aka Pennsic War. :-)
Hi everyone. Managed to catch a stray tom this morning and took him along to the Cats Protection. I know it's best for him, and they promised they'd look after him well, but I feel really low and guilty. Sigh! I think it's because I managed to catch him because he trusts me; even after one failed attempt to put him in the box he didn't run away and let me tickle him etc, until we both relaxed enough to try again. And although he went a bit crazy when he realised he was trapped, he didn't try to claw me, which he could have with the wire cage. Poor kitty, he so deserves a good home :(.
Hi everyone! Short day today so I've been busy. I could go for some quiche today, thank you. The russian blue has already been by with a cool drink for me so I'm all set!

TFIF from a grey & cool AM in Milwaukee...still TGIF!!! Mmm a slice of healthy cheese/broccoli quiche...and a nice cup of black java to start my work day will be great! I hope the day flys so I can visit with some friends tonight...hopefully eat outdoors if it is a pretty evening!(Too cool for mosquitos but a jacket is ok!) Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
The cafe "crowd" looks pretty relaxed. Everyone must be getting ready for the weekend. I know I'm looking forward to not doing much except relaxing, enjoying the cooler weather, and having fun with the cats.

Metsa you did right by the kitty. Sounds like he will be "fixed" and hopefully adopted to a loving home. No chance of you keeping him? I bet you are tempted.
Well, the old property manager in my apt complex who was fired back in April but refused to move was evicted as of yesterday. I saw her car in the courtyard parking area on Mon as I left for work and then at the same time on Tuesday so I figured something was up. Here is hoping for a weekend with no construction going on and a bit quieter than it has been. When I went to go check out the notice on the old property manager's apt door, I walked by the unit with the family (three kids with one of them a toddler who does the wailing sometimes) and the little girl was in the window singing. She did a good job of it and I let her know. She thanked me for complimenting her as I walked by.
It is Friday and I cannot wait for the day to end so I can go home and be with my cats as well as be able to sleep in tomorrow (or at least I am hoping to be able to sleep in till around 9am).
So, may I have a egg and extra crispy bacon croissant sammie along with a mocha and a nice purring Russian Blue British Shorthair mix that loves to sit on ones chest and be held.

....... well, you might as well call me the "money sponge", the "cash cow", or whatever, "the big dummie with S (for sucker, stupid mom, etc.) in the middle of her forehead"!...... everytime one of my children (thank God I only have 2)... calls, they NEED MONEY!......
.... daughter calls from UF today (yes, that's where Son is going to school).... and apparently she has gone for the weekend with him, and the gas pump "denied" her card...... well, HELLO, how many times do I have to say "check your balance before you go anywhere".... (and yes, it's Friday, almost 4:00)..... so I have to RUN to the bank, and plunk down CASH so that she can make it to where she's going!.........
.... hopefully she will "lurk" and see this later.... NO MORE MRS. NICE MOM!.... you need to be responsible, and QUIT going to see your brother so often!......
... *sorry everyone*...... just had to "rant" a bit...... brand new empty nesters and all.....

His schedule is one day on and then three off. His next work day after today is Tuesday. Gotta eat between tomorrow and Tuesday! LOL

She definitely would think so! I am going to try to call him later after his lietenant leaves for the day. He said he was being a jerk (he used a not so fluffy word) today! He was making everyone mad! So maybe his mood will be better when the guy goes home.
