  1. Ummm, so you need a more spur of the moment menu? This calls for some rethinking......

  2. Yes it does! By the way WWM, what is with the shooting at the Tour today?

  3. Hi all!!! Weekend's almost here!!!! :)

The new job went well again today - I set one appointment. The one boss I don't deal much with (the other sits right next to my cubicle so I deal mostly with him) took one of my appointments today. It went really well and he came out and high-fived me and congratulated me on a job well done. I also managed to reschedule a meeting from yesterday that got cancelled.
After doing well this week, I'm right now leaning toward keeping the new job. I'm giving it two more weeks with both jobs, though, until I make my decision.

I'm at the gym now and it's very slow. I'm here from 3 to 8 and keep checking the time to see when I can get out of here.

  4. Isn't this a GG day? YAY for you! High fiving!

  5. Yay GD!

  6. Yay - high-fiving is good! And I'm starting to really enjoy the people I'm working with. They're not all making calls non-stop and we joke around, laugh when we overhear someone saying something stupid on the phone, etc. The bosses have gotten more busy so I don't feel like the one boss is sitting and listening to me on the phone all day like I did in the beginning.
A new girl is starting on Monday and will take up the last cubicle so they're getting ready to go ahead and rent the office space next to ours. Hopefully when they do that (they're saying move-in is August) the boss won't have a cubicle right next to mine!!

I hope today's GG day, MC! He comes in most Fridays, but not all. At least generally if he doesn't come in Friday, he shows up Saturday, so I'll have that to look forward to.

  7. Shooting? We watched the Tour and didn't hear anything about a shooting!

  8. Sounds like the business is growing, GD; that's a good thing!

  9. WWM, 2 riders were slightly injured in what may have been an air rifle shooting. One guy had an injured finger; no details yet about the other one.

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  10. That definitely is a good thing, Kilroy! And they're starting to have some really good appointments, too. It makes it more exciting to come to work when you've got an appointment set and are waiting to hear how it went.

  11. Gosh, I'll have to go to Bicycle.com because they didn't mention that on the coverage.

    Stinkin' French.......

  12. I'm the only one so far who's got appointments booked on Tuesday - I've got FOUR!!!! :)

  13. GD, you just might be a star!

  14. But we already knew that, right MC?

  15. Good grief......

    Tour de France shooting
    Updated: 07:15, Saturday July 18, 2009

Two Tour de France riders have been slightly injured after being shot at with air guns during the world famous race.

Three-times world champion Oscar Freire of Spain and New Zealand's Julian Dean were attacked along the road of the 13th stage from Vittel to Colmar in north-east France.

'Julian was shot by an air rifle or BB gun (pellet gun) at the top of a climb during the stage,' Marya Pongrace, a spokeswoman for Dean's Garmin-Slipstream team said.

'He has a minor injury on his finger but he was able to finish.'

She said he was 'shaken up' in the incident but was expected to start Saturday's stage of the tour.

'(Organisers) ASO have asked police to open an investigation,' she added.

'Oscar heard three shots and then felt a sting,' a spokesman for Freire's Rabobank team said.

    'A small shot was removed'.

ASO confirmed an investigation had been opened and said both riders had given statements to the police.

The organisers added they would not make any further comment on the matter at this moment.

  16. Of course WE did, the new bosses just needed to know this!

  17. Crazy WWM!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  18. Why on earth would anyone do that???? It's ridiculous.

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  19. Awwwww, you girls are the BEST!!! This job seems to take a lot of confidence which I do not have that much of. It gets better, though, when you start getting some calls back and setting appointments.

    SO far no GG :(

  20. Crossing all paws and whiskers here! How is OB's wife doing?

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  21. Texted OB today after not hearing anything for a few days. She didn't go home yesterday as they'd hoped - now they're shooting for Sunday. Also, he's doing badly with work and has recently lost some of the accounts he took with him when he went to work for the brokerage firm. Not doing well at all :(

  22. Oh gosh, that is horrible news! Keeping prayers coming for them!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  23. Yeah, he sounded pretty down from reading the text. By the time I could text back, it was much later and I haven't heard from him again. His son is home from college again which wasn't planned (he came back last week). I think I'm going to call a mutual friend of ours and see what she knows.
