I was talking with my "dinner date FF" about our meetup and he thought it was really cool. Was looking for ideas on things to do. He had a few questions.
1. Who all is coming? Would like to get a head count.
2. What would you like to do? Shop? Take a city tour? Go to a museum? Fair
type festival? Anything else?
3. Any types of foods you really hate or are allergic to?
4. Any special requests?
There is SO MUCH to do in Chicago that as planner of the meet I would like to be able to narrow down ideas! Thanks for your input!

Hey MC! I love Chicago! I got an opportunity to go there about 3 or 4 summers ago for a conference. I fell in love with Tiffany's, the waterfront, & the House of Blues. I also got to go to OMSI, we have one here in Oregon, but it's nowhere compared to the one there! Overall, I spent 2 weeks in a city that I would love to go back and visit! I hope a lot of people get to go!

I am hoping *fingers crossed* to join you. I've been there so many times that I've pretty much done everything over the years! I never get tired of Chicago though. Since MCW is kind of the guest of honor, is there anything that she really wants to do? I would like to check out those new glass floors in the Sears Tower (or whatever it's called now).

That is the 6th....I am wondering if I could fly there in the am and leave in the pm.....wonder if that is an option...Wayne could get my MIL to watch Maddie maybe and he would only have to take care of Abbie...mmmm.....I doubt he would be okay with it but if it was cheap...

Hubby and I are coming. We are booked in at the Hotel Allegro. We're not so much into shopping, but love museums, would enjoy doing one of those cruises, of course love food! We're getting into town on Saturday and staying until noon Monday so we are uber flexible. It is also Jazz weekend.

He really thinks that it is so cool that MCW is coming here and visiting us all. He is quite the world traveler himself and just takes off and goes to Paris if he feels the mood hit him. Crazy!

Sears Tower is now called the Willis Tower.
Wish I could be there with you, we're doing a show that weekend.
I -love- Chicago. Once we got tickets to the House of Blues to see George Thoroughgood. GREAT show.
Y'all might like a half-hour boat tour of the Chicago River, you see some great architecture. And Navy Pier has a great free stained glass museum, made from pieces salvaged from various demolished Chicago buildings.
There's Chinatown, that's fun. Full of touristy shops :-) and a wonderful bakery or two.

I am so jazzed about coming to Chi! I think a dinner or lunch cruise would be great or lunch followed by a river cruise or everything really! Just as long as we have a place to talk and take pictures, I am happy!
