Speaking of meeting people on the Internet, that's how I met the friend who's coming up from Philadelphia today. She was living in NYC at the time, we connected through a message board devoted to an author we both like, and when we finally met in person, we discovered we lived in the same building! She moved not too long after that, but we're still the best of friends.

it is the hardest job for sure.
I love my girls though...they are worth it even though it can drive me crazy sometimes.

Morning, all!
Bob was a pain last night!!! :( I got up twice (first time as early as 12:30) to feed him to get him to be quiet. I managed to knock over the dry food bag and spill half of it on the floor so I had to start cleaning up. I don't even know how many other times he had me up - it seemed like every five minutes. He was meowing and walking around on me and chasing Mi. Arrrrgh!MC - sounds fun with the music festival. I'm sure his anti-women friends will behave themselves.
GG's brother left early last night, so GG had to take their dad home. Of course he worked out late again (til 8:15 - we close at 8:00) so I chatted with their dad til GG was ready to go. Anyway - didn't get a chance to chat with GG :(
I think I'll text him later about something else and see if he mentions hanging out this weekend.... -

Good morning, Everyone! Yes, they are off on the ride! I started a thread to let you all know how Mr. WWM does. Kittymom called me last night and said that some of our family here might want to follow him. I don't know if he'll call at any of the rest stops, but for sure he'll call me when they finish today. He is riding in memory of Kittymom's mother. Isn't our TDK family wonderful!
I have a bit of a headache today and I think it's just from getting up at sparrow fart and worrying a little bit about Mr. WWM. This is usually one of my days to get to sleep late but I was up at 5:00 so that I could make certain that they all had some breakfast before we went down to the starting point. It's awfully hard to face waffles and eggs at 5:00 in the morning!
Poor little Windi is so upset that there were strangers in the house last night and she has retreated under the bed. When I got home from taking them down to the ride, I tried to tell her that now it's just me in the house but she's still nervous. Things are not the way that she left them in the guest room and she gets upset about that. I don't think that she's even come out to have breakfast, but hopefully she'll begin to realize that everything is fine. Willow, of course, had to be the center of attention at dinner last night!
I've warned Mr. WWM but I'm going to go out and hit a few stores today, even if it's just to look around.
Anybody want a waffle?

The other day when I came in, EBL had left my pay check in an envelope for me since she was leaving on vacation. She'd written on the envelope that Weirdo New Guy wanted to have a meeting and training on Monday at one. When the other front desk lady mentioned it to me, I told her I couldn't go and she didn't ask me why.
Well, WNG called here this morning to tell me to be here at one on Monday for the meeting. I told him I have another job in the morning and can't make it here til at least 2:30. He said he'll call me back.
Anyway - the cat's out of the bag! For whatever reason EBL seems to love me these days and I know as long as the gym's open she doesn't want to lose me. Maybe if she thinks I may leave, she'll think up some insentives to get me to stay.... -

Been out tonight at Mr MS's mid year work social and then when we got home I got watching the movie 'Arlington Road' and just had to see it through to the end. Then of course I had to check in here to see what goes on when I'm usually asleep. I won't be here long as the room is darned cold and I can hear my hot water bottle calling me. Shadz is in a chair with a blanket draped over the chair making her own personal den so she's happy until her tummy wakes her. The wind is really buffeting around the house tonight, brrrrrrr.

LOL!....... I can't eat waffels, but I could use a nice egg salad sami! (look heart, no cholestrol!).........
Meeting my MIL for lunch today, she is so sweet, and always trying to help..... she wants me to meet one of her neighbors in the subdivision where she lives, since Hubbs and I are moving in there shortly.....
so I guess I'd better go shower and get ready...... wouldn't want to "scare" the new neighbor!.... LOL

She loves it too MC. She's been a bit 'off' for a couple of days and I suspect she may be brewing an abscess, probably courtesy of a tom cat encounter. So come Monday I'll be taking her to see her favourite vet if she doesn't improve. She's been really grumpy and growls me when I touch her right hip. I can't feel any lump there but the vet will be able to check her out better than I can.
