  1. MM, I had never heard of Loves before you mentioned awhile back that you worked for them. Then a few days ago I passed a tanker truck that said LOVES on the side! Here in Georgia! I couldn't believe it.

Instinct, You were born in '66? I thought you and Intuition were in your early 20's, being students and all, and having only been married two years. Wow, so maybe there is hope for me to find someone. I was also born in the 60's a few years before you.

Katiebugsmomma, I started college at age 40. Wish I could have stayed with it, but husband leaving made it impossible. I had a 4.0. If I hit the lottery, other than travel I would just go to school.

  2. Have a nice Thankgiving Cheri.

  3. I would like to win the lottery and have that option too, Catwoman.

  4. She's 26 and I'm 41. Funny part is that one of our best friends from school who is her age is dating a guy my age.

We also had two sets of instructors who also had a 15 year gap as well, maybe it's just and artist thing. :)

Of course there is a chance, Catwoman. The key is to have fun in your life and do your own thing. When you least expect it, someone will fall out of the sky right in front of you.

  5. I couldn't do this if I were working right now, Thank God I built up a good savings for a rainy day.

  6. Instinct...........my other half is 15 years my senior.................and neither one of us is an artist.................interesting

  7. She always says that it's because she wanted a man, not a boy. :)

  8. My parents aren't artists either, Instinct, and they have a 17 year gap (mom is 41 and dad is 58). It's a lot more common than one would think sometimes!

  9. We are both working part time, but yea, it gets rough

Posted 4 years ago by Instinct #

  10. Two weeks from today, MR and I will have been married for 9 years. Hooray! We're still newlyweds.
We've got 6 stores in Georgia. Over 200 nation wide. It's a fairly noticeable truck being yellow, red, and orange. The company is still family owned.

  11. And yet, NorthernLilly, there are some people who when we tell them get a look on their face of "Oh my god! You Bas***d"

Posted 4 years ago by Instinct #

  12. We only have a 2 month gap in our ages.

  13. So I should be looking at 60 year olds? No thanks. My Dad is 65 and looks 55, so it would be too weird.

Most of my friends are in their mid-thirties, but not a single available guy among them. Other than the gay ones, of course.

Posted 4 years ago by Catwoman #

  14. Haha I know what you mean when my friends tried to fathom that my brothers and sisters from my father's first marriage at so much older than I am, and not much younger than my mother lol

  15. Congrats MM on 9 years! and a successful company!

Posted 4 years ago by katiebugsmomma #

  16. Catwoman, I think the key is to just do whatever makes you happy. the right person, no matter what age, will be there.

  17. do you need a civil engineer for your company Instinct? I have been one for 24 years, but heck, I'll do just about anything for the same pay and benefits I get now !!! I do a lot of misc tasks for my boss, who is a Civil Engineer 3 and a Design Unit Manager (he "supervises" about 8 of us)...actually we are expected to think and work independently of him. Two years ago, his wife had a very difficult pregnancy and he stayed home for about 6 weeks, and he kept in contact with us by phone maybe 2 times a week...so you see I am dependable too, I always make my work deadlines...

  18. Catgrats MM and MR!! John and I have been together 14 years this last July! OH Boy and they said it wouldn't last. When my baby brother got married, we were making bets at the reception how long it would last. John won at 13 months!

  19. Well the company isn't mine, I just work here. But they take pretty good care of me. It's been around longer than I have.

  20. So you make people act civil, Cheri, we could use that :)

    Sorry, bad joke.

Who knows, anything is possible :)

Posted 4 years ago by Instinct #

  21. Wow, short marriage, TBM! Your brother, that is

Posted 4 years ago by Instinct #

  22. We made it 21 years this July, and nobody thought it was possible........

  23. Wow! I think ours will go all the way, she's my very best friend in the world. The other day I got flowers for her just cause I wanted to.

A person on the bus home asked if they were for her birthday and I said no, I just wanted to get some for her. Three women looked over like "He got her flowers for no reason??" I wasn't sure if they were jealous or thought I was lying :)

Posted 4 years ago by Instinct #

  24. that's awesome KBM! Congratulations!

  25. Instinct, as much as I would love to work for you, alas I am currently where I need to be before starting my own company. As for the age gap/artist correlation, MM and I paint and design and do all kinds of artsy stuff, even if not professionally at the moment, and as she said, we have two months between us. Of course, if she had been 15-years younger than me when we got married, they probably would have hauled me to jail for marrying a five-year-old. Our society kind of frowns on such things for some strange reason. ;-)

  26. Way to go Instinct!
MR is my very best friend. And he makes a great martini. And I think he's hot. What more could a girl want?

Posted 4 years ago by MeezerMama in OK; 10/23 #

  27. LOL--okay babe, that's funny

Posted 4 years ago by MeezerMama in OK; 10/23 #

  28. I know what you mean MR, When we met she was 19 so it's probably a good thing that I waited to start dating her until she was over the 22 mark. :)

So what kind of company are you starting up?? Need a website designed :D

Posted 4 years ago by Instinct #

  29. *grins broadly*
