  1. My best energy time is in the morning. Unfortunately so is Molly's. So far she has tried to help type on the computer, climbed up my body to supervise cupboard cleaning, growled at the neighbor's company (I think she fancies herself a watch cat although if anyone comes to my door she disappears), and gets between me and whatever I am trying to read. Now that it is getting hot and I'm running down she is sleeping off her busy morning. What to do? LOL

  2. Give her a snuggle and take a cat nap together!

  3. Hi Sandi. got a chuckle out of your Molly "helping" cause that's what mine is doing, helping me heal, I guess. Finally had the GB out on Wednesday, and now Molly wants to lay right over my incisions! What's up with that? By the way, thanks for your experience with this, I was reassurred that I would be ok.

  4. Paulajeanne, Molly feels that her warmth and kitty healing energy will help heal the incisions faster....plus it stops you from getting up to do unnecessary things! Honestly though, how are you doing with the healing/recovery end of this?

  5. PJ!!!! Gosh, I didn't realize that your surgery was this week! I'm sorry!!! :-(

I hope that you're feeling better and just taking things very easy. Eat lots of protein for that wound healing!

  6. You will feel so much better with out the GB PJ! The pain of attacks will be gone. Take it easy as you recover. I think Molly is just keeping a paw on you to ensure that you rest and relax!

  7. Thanks, guys. Did end up a day and night in ICU because I wasn't recovering from the anesthetic fast enough. I tried to tell the Dr. Molly would take care of me, but he said until she learns to dial 911, I would be staying in the hospital, or I might wake up dead. I don't think she liked how I smelled because it took a good two hours for her to come near me when I did get home! Guess I wasn't prepared for how sore my abdominal wall would be, hurts to laugh, cough, etc. But staples will come out on Tuesday, and I'm NOT nauseated! Keep thinking something's not right, and then I remember, oh right, I'm not feeling sick anymore! Yay!

  8. Oh, gosh PJ - they were absolutely right in keeping your there, even though no one can get any rest in ICU. I'm so glad that you're home with your little nurses.

  9. You might get a kick out of this, WWM. A bunch of the staff up there are former students of mine, and one raced out afterwards with my gall bladder in a baggie, saying, I just knew you would want to see this! And she was right, still groggy, I had to grab the bag and look it over! Dr just raised his eyebrows and sighed.

  10. LOL, PJ!!! *quietly gags at the thought of PJ's gallbladder in a ziplock baggie*

  11. Glad your surgery is over and that you're not feeling sick anymore!!!! Well, where else would one keep a gallbladder????? :))))

  12. I'm glad you are feeling better. I was wondering how you were. Did you get your surgery laprocopically (don't know if that is anywhere near spelled right) or did you have to have a major incision. I don't react well to anesthetic either. No body let me see my gall bladder *pouts*. I remember I came out of my surgery feeling a whole lot better than I did going in

  14. *visualizing a gall bladder in a ziplock baggie... * Ummmm... I think I would have passed on seeing that - passed out that is! *grins*

Reminds me of when I had a tooth pulled several years ago. I asked the dentist if I could see it and he actually seemed disgusted at the thought of showing it to me.

  15. Well, I did think of asking if I could take it to school with me, and preserve it, put it up in the speciman cabinet with the appendix, the thumb, the tonsils, etc...and if I were still teaching at the HS, probably would have. I discovered long ago, that HS kids love getting grossed out. Sandi, it was the Lap procedure (I'm not even going to try spelling it!). There are five sets of lovely staples!

  16. WWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeee Not only did I not get to see my gall bladder not even to say goodbye I didn't get any staples just little pieces of tape

  17. That Lap procedure is great isn't it? After being cut wide open for my hysterectomy I can really compare. It took me three years to completely recover from the hysterectomy
