  2. Good to hear that you got a little sleep--although a little isn't always enough. Galileo's fever is down! I am so glad to hear that. I will continue praying. Today you will hear from the vet, and I am praying he will be able to help Galileo recover quickly!

  5. Good news to hear his temp. is coming down some. Praying he continues to improve. Also glad that you got (even alittle) bit of sleep. It's great that he slept w/you. A good sign when they want to be close to their Meowma.

  9. Just catching up on your thread Cathi.....I'm so happy to hear that Galileo seems to be turning the corner on this illness. Hang in there and take as good of care of yourself as you are your sweety! Sending prayers and white light for a full recovery for Galileo. =)

  10. OK checking in for lunch! Gali seems more active this afternoon. He's been following me, he ate, and totally drank water on his own.
I have a migraine from sleeping wrong but I'll live. Not going to work now. Staying in bed if I can...
Scary note, I just heard MAX cough a few minutes ago. :(

  11. ClaudesMommy, BoogerMercurysMama, Karenopa... Thank you. I appreciate it.

  12. Sending more healing white light that Galileo continues to get better. Consoling hugs to you Cathi. I had my first kitty go through bronchitis at seven months after getting spayed (picked up at the local humane society where they had low cost spay/neutering). It was a very scary experience so I understand your concern.

  13. I'm so sorry about missing you guys in the mornig!!! My excuse was that I was half asleep...

  14. SMM, I'd probably be besides myself if either of them were that young!

I am praying that when the vets me back with the test results that it is just pneumonia. He was on lunch when I called to tell them about Max coughing.

  15. It'll be good to hear from the vet about the test results. It is scary to think that Gali may have something contagious that Max may be picking up, but at least that would eliminate the long-shot chance of the problem being a heartworm infestation.

  16. No word from the vet yet. I hope they call me soon.
Leeny, as much as I don't want Max sick again, you are so right.

Posted 2 years ago by cathi in nc #

  17. Cathi don't wait for them to call you. Call them and ask for the results, especially now that Max is coughing. If it is contagious you won't want them sharing space. I hope you can talk to them soon.

  18. Soxsmom, I just called them and they said the results aren't in yet. The vet wasn't overly concerned with Max coughing yet. He said that since Max just finished a round of antibiotics, he probably is safe. Now, I need to monitor both cats...
On another note, I washed all their bedding in hot water last weekend (9 days ago) but I will be boiling them this week. Just not today, my head is killing me.

  19. If Max is already coughing it is too late to keep them apart--he should get antibiotics ASAP to stop it in it's tracks. It looks like heartworm is not the cause (thankfully). Continued prayers for health for everyone!
