  1. I am the one with the Topsy Turvy tomato planter. Its a real dream. The tomato plant is as big as a bush and the tomatoes are everywhere on that thing and taste amazing! I have already eaten three tomatoes and they are MUCH better than in the store! I totally recommend it! All my coworkers and my sisters are getting one for next year!

  2. I will be getting one soon, the key is in taking care of the tomato plants whether they are right side up or upside down. There is a nicely blooming topsy turvy from a deck in my neighborhood, the tomatoes look yummy!

  7. OK, I get it now.... Is there a 'stand alone' hanger with it, or do you have to install a mollie bolt and hook (lol at mollie bolt) to hang it? What tomato plant did you select, MC?

    Our overhang on the deck is soo high, I don't think it would work for me if it isn't 'stand alone'

  8. Why couldn't you use a shepherds hook that you use for planters? I haven't tried it yet but it seems like that would work.

  9. Sweet 100's are a good tomato plant for the topsy turvey. I didn't get one of those thing, but I have my tomatoes in pots hanging from a shepherds crook. I am harvesting my second batch tonight.

  11. Great idea Deb. We have an actual shepherds hook here that Mr MS used to use when he was a shepherd, might be able to attach that to a fence post. Ive seen the shepherds hook hangers in the garden centres and often admired the beautiful designs of some of them.

  12. It comes with all the hardware you need to hang it. Mine is hanging from the porch. I have regular tomatoes growing in it!

  15. I guess I'm doing it the "old fashioned" way,lol, and I'm growing a cherry tomato plant in the the ground. I looked up the website and laughed at the back-breaking work man because my boyfriend built me a raised garden bed just so it would not be back-breaking and more enjoyable for me. Currently, we have 2 garden spots (the raised bed and a ground-level garden) and are growing: Tomatoes (the ones out in the ground level spot are as almost as tall as me!!), Tomatillos, Jalepeno peppers, Habenero peppers, sugar snap peas, pole beans, lettuce, spinach, onions, and carrots. I think that's all that we're growing, but the boy is always adding new veggies to plant! :o)
