  7. Morning, everyone, I'm just listening to the midnight news here -- two roofs have been blown off in Opunake (Taranaki), it is windy out there. I will take loads of latte and apricot brioches please -- oh and a tumbler or two of champagne mimosas, to celebrate Hoover's return!

  8. Yay Hoover! Leela thinks you were crazy for being outside when you could have been inside getting lots of lovin and attention and food and general comfort and security. Anyway, she may squeeze thru the wormhole to find out Hoover's adventures at some point.
I would love an omlet with cheese, bacon, cheese, green peppers, cheese, topped with cheese. Of course, I will partake in a mimosa; since it's virtual I can't get in trouble at work!

  9. Such wonderful news about Hoover!!!!
Hello everyone! A bit under the weather here, both Maddie and I have little colds, and I hope they don't get worse! I just ache big time and could sleep for another 12 hours :) I took a benedryl at 3:30am since I was feeling icky.

  12. Morning, all! Gray rainy day here, bleah. But hooray for Hoover coming home! That's enough to brighten up anyone's day.

Last night I got the best night's sleep I've had since Mr. K's been gone - yay! I think I confused George; I was up even before he started meowing for his breakfast. Normally he's my alarm clock.

I have to go jump in the shower and then head to work, but I don't want to!!! I want to stay here and visit with my TDK family. Back in a bit.

    ETA Hi MCW!!

  13. Mmmmm...the smells from the cafe's kitchen are wonderful! Fresh fruit strudels, eggs benedict, fresh fruit plate with pineapple, melons, cherries, and grapes (whoops...there goes a grape, and a tuxie rushing after it), sausage, bacon (limp AND crispy), whole wheat toast, freshly churned butter from Country Kitties Dairy (tm)and honey-glazed ham ready for slicing!

  14. I had a bed buddy last night, Hermes came to visit for an extended cuddle. He just -loves- it when I rub his eyes...either on his eyes, or right above. I swear I can put him in a trance with that....

  15. Awwww, Hermes in a trance...

  16. Hi CM, you have my sympathy about your cold. Bleech! I'm just getting over mine, still have a bark like a seal though. You can gargle with warm salty water but not Maddie.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  17. MS! CM would NEVER gargle with Maddie. She wouldn't fit in a glass for one thing, lol. (Sorry...)

  18. YAY!!!!!!! HOOVER'S HOME! Good morning everyone, hope you have a wonderful day. Just getting started with work this morning, I have a kitty on the back of the chair above me, Ginger's supervising me today. ;o)

  19. Kilroy, I agree with you...a rainy day should be used to just relaxing with a cat (or cats) and visiting with your TDK friends. Unfortunately, I, too, had to get out into the rain to go to work. At least, it's not as hurried as it has been and I can pop in from time to time to keep up with things.

  20. I talked with daughter Meegz tonight and she asked me to go wedding dress shopping this coming weekend. A local shop is having a sale with huge reductions on the dresses. So different from my wedding, Mum made my dress.

  21. Ohmigosh, MS, have they set the date?

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  22. Jcat! You're very sharp for this time of night. Eeeeeeekkkkkkkk, morning! When did that happen? What an image that conjured up though.
No more mimosas for Jcat, she's had enough.

  23. Good Morning all! I still feel lousy today, that cold is hanging on to me. My throat is raw still and my head hurts. I had a scary moment last night. I was reading and all of a sudden I had trouble seeing out of my right eye. Everything went blurry and I got spots and squiggles across my line of sight. I immediately called the neurosurgeon and I NEVER got a call back. Can you believe that? I am calling them all day until I get an answer. My vision returned in about 30 mins and has been fine since! Scary stuff though. I am at work, on the ready to run to the doc if need be! :( Everyone have a good day. A toast to Hoover!

  24. *Giggle* (hic!)

  25. April, actual date to yet be determined, depends on what days the venue has that aren't booked. You have to move quickly on some things or miss out.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  26. OMG MC, that is scary!! You are right to be persistent about calling the neurosurgeon, I hope you get them sooner rather than later! I can't believe they didnt' call you back immediately. Be careful, have a good day!

Posted 2 years ago by Annie R #

  27. MC, that is really scary! I'm so glad it's been all right since and I'm glad at least you're surrounded by medical-type people at work... Maybe it was just a wee migraine-aura-type blip.

MS, an autumn wedding, that will be lovely. She might need a long-sleeved dress... I see winter brides in low-cut, sleeveless gowns and I think they must be FREEZING...

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  28. MC, sorry to hear about your sight problem last night. You need to keep after the doctor. Sometimes doctors are so used to dealing with things that seem common for them, but they don't realize how scary it is for someone having that problem for the first time.

Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

  29. .... has anyone ever seen the "wedding dress stampede?"..... it's a tradition every year, one of the most famout bridal shops (I think in NY) has a 1-day bargin bonanza..... people camp out all night waiting for the doors to open, and then it's a MAJOR "free for all"..... let me see if I can google it... it's hilarioius......

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  30. MC, you must get an answer from them. Wow, you must have been quite scared. Did you sleep after that? or are you running on very little sleep today.
