  1. (((SMM))).... then send him on a "mission" to get him out of your way!.... at least that way, you can teach him to "fetch" and probably get things done better without him!.....

.......Yep, those "chicken bums" look great... I hope mine turn out good too!.... I'm using MS's receipe for "chicken boobs"..... (it took me a while to "get" that one, but I'm SLOW)..... LOL

  2. Sounds yummy AV. The food in the article looked pretty darned good too!

  3. AV, may I please have some chix bums to take to FF? He worked 24 hours and then had a 5 hour class. I don't think it was at me but he was such a turd. As for the doc, oh well....

  4. Oh my MC ! No, I don't think it was you - you just caught the brunt of it. Not good form FF! Perhaps you can let him know how his attitude came across to you. He may not be aware. Men just don't think before they speak... (apologies to the men who we have here - just my experience with the men in my life).

  5. 2Pop, couldn't agree with you more. I guess it hit me harder because the neuro wasn't being real helpful either. Men can be insensitive too!

  6. Yes they can! They just aren't wired the same way we are. Case in point - man-friend and I are out dancing. He sees a friend we know, male, who is dancing with someone we don't know. He 'hands me off' to male friend and takes his partner to dance. WTH?!?!? Or he'll tell another male at the table... go ahead and dance with her, I'm tired; and then I see him on the dance floor with someone else. What?!?

  7. ..... yes, THEY are wired differently!.....

.... pushes ginormous servings (for 2) thru wormhole of "chicken bums" to MC!..... it really turned out well!..... and I did put a layer of rice on the bottom to cook, and it nicely absorbed all the flavors of the veggies and "bums"..... will definitely put this one in the receipe book to keep!....

  8. Now I think I will just eat that all myself AND NOT share! YUM, NOM, YUM, NOM.....

  9. Hi AV, eating your bums I see. LOL It's a very simple recipe isn't it.
Checked out that article about chicken bums and we call it the Parson's nose here.

  11. Hi all!!
Amy, I'm sorry FF is being a jerk and NS is not being helpful in the least!

I'm so tired today and not feeling 100%. I wonder if I'm coming down with something. I'm so tired, headachy, a bit queasy and just don't feel great. Just want to go home to bed!
We had a one hour meeting at the new job this morning going over leads etc. so that broke up the day a bit, which was nice.
I ran home between jobs and managed a 45 min. nap only to be even more tired and groggy when I got up. Arrrgh!

  16. nom, nom, nom, yes the bums are a real winner!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  17. I did and it was hilarious. Have to bring out the ant song again, the little blighters returned last night. Ahhhhhhhhhh.

  18. Thanks, MS! Can't wait to go home!

Hey, I've got a question. Bob-man has been scratching his right ear quite a bit the last few days. I cleaned it out for him with a wipe - he's still scratching and I don't see anything in there that could be bothering him.
Could he have an ear infection or something?

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  19. ugh! ants are a problem here too, especially in the winter on the coldest days... they want to come in to get warm, and are looking for water.....

.... I don't know if they have this in NZ , but my "handy man, fix it all guy".... brought me some of this stuff that completely stopped the ants.... I don't know what it's called, but it's like this gooey black toothpaste looking stuff that you "dab" a spot in where ever you think the ants are coming in, and somehow, they're attracted to it, but it's poison to them!..... worked better than any spray I've ever tried.... kills roaches (gasp) too!.... you just leave it there.... I think eventually it goes down, and you replenish it... I think the theory is that the ants take it back to their "nests" or sand holes, or where ever they live, and it's kills the colony!..... worked well for me!

  20. ...Hubbs just arrived... going down to fix his dinner and do some face time with him.... be back later!

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  21. yes, I think Bob could have an ear infection. Betty did that once and had a deeper ear infection. I got a bottle of drops and it was gone in a week!

  22. We have all sorts of 'ant bait' like that here and it will deal with the problem short term only. Ants are just a fact of life here especially in the area I live in. Now I like the idea of it dealing with roaches, we get those here too but only in ones and twos thankfully. Mr MS catches them for me after hearing my scream then he teaches them to swim(down the toilet). They aren't very good at swimming either!

  23. Thanks, MC! Poor Bobby!
I already feel so bad about leaving them home alone so much lately :(

  24. Time for me to attend to the housework. Back later on.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  25. Aw, GD, at least the boys have each other.

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  26. That's true. I keep telling them that if I keep working hard we can move to a larger place where they can have much more fun. I promised them a balcony or a patio, too! :)
