  1. At 2:45 PM EDT today, Tuesday July 21, Andy Brennan, a Sealpoint Ragdoll, thirteen years old, left for the Rainbow Bridge after a long illness. Andy had an illustrious career as a rock star, an explorer, an aviator, and most
recently, Chief of Planetary Security. He is survived by his humans Noel=Anne and Jim, his brother Cal Meepers and his sister Lady BeBop.

  8. Redford was always the Great Caretaker, so I'm sure he greeted Andy at the Bridge and is showing him all the best play spots and butterfly-watching places. My prayers and sympathies to Andy's family.

  12. Andy stretches full length along the branch of the great Tree in the Meadow. The breeze moves softly across the grass and through the Tree, and the movement of the green leaves against the sun entrances him.

He settles his chin on two large paws, watching. Kizzie and Bomber are hunting a bee in the clover beds beneath the tree, and three young kittens have joined them. Giggles rise when one of the kits plunges into an especially deep pocket of clover, and Andy hears, "Come on, now, quit laughing so hard! I can't see you!"

It is one of the mama cats, stepping with dainty precision across the Meadow, calling to the kitten. The tuxedo kitten totters out and bashfully head-bonks his mama cat, and she kisses his upturned face, smoothing his ruffled fur.

Andy smiles to himself. He likes it here!

A rustling above his head, and he looks up quickly, whiskers sweeping forward in curiosity. Bastian, Joshie, and Tristan laugh down at his upturned face.

"You thought you were ALONE!" chuckles Bastian.

"Here there is always enough company, and enough of everything," murmurs Joshie, while Tristan washes his face.

"We'll show you the Meadow!" and with a swarm of color and fur the cats descend the Tree and tear across the emerald lawn.

"There is no pain now, not here," whispers the Wolf from his knoll. "Only joy."

Morning in the Meadow, in the summer of Paradise.
