MC, I hope your thyroid issue is easily remedied. Hang tough.(And it wasn't me who snickered - it was just the couch squeaking. Honestly.)

I have a low thyroid and am on medication. My friend had to have her's removed and takes meds too. I hope it's something simple like that!

I just emailed you MC. Looking at the bright side, I am greatly relieved, that it is nothing to do with your carotid arteries. Let's just try to stay calm, thyroid issues are extremely common in women. Agree with MCW, tech had a melt down over this...well, like I told you yesterday, the fact that she was soooo unprofessional should have given a clue that likely she is clueless. She likely only does carotid ultrasounds and dopplers and anything beyond that is just that, beyond her , LOL. Hang in there. Hugs

MC, I have to take meds for my thyroid too, mine has quit working 2-3 times in the last 4 years. So like everyone is saying, hang in there >^..^<
And you are not bad luck my friend, it was just that time for FF's tooth to decide to go.
Oh my just had a kitty jump in my lap, actually just felt one jump but assuming its my Kinker (RIP) its alright. He comes when I need reassurance about anything, he was a good friend to me. So thats a good sign, he must have known I was worried about you and this latest deal.

I wish you the best in the upcoming appointment and hope it is a minor issue. Sorry for FF tooth. Not your fault, just the way things work, sometimes. I hope you both are feeling better real soon. Love, Mama Lynn

MC... hopefully your thyroid abnormallity is just something like a goiter. If I understand things right if the thyroid has to produce all by itself the goiter grows. Take a pill once a day - no goiter.

MC, I hope your thyroid problem is minor;
I still get mail for MS resources, and just received a mailing about a new web site for MS information that you might want to pass on to FF. It is described as "the ultimate destination for MS information. Whether you are newly diagnosed, or have been living with MS for a while, I hope the new MS ActiveSource website will become your resource for information, support, and connection with others." That's a quote from the mailing. The web site is www.MSActiveSource.com. FF might be interested in checking it out.

Thanks KM, I will "gently" suggest the site.

Tee hee @ CBM...
Thyroid (underactive) runs in my family, MC, if it's that, then it's very common in women and easy to treat. I believe an overactive thyroid is common too. Hope it's a minor prob and that it will soon be fixed! and sending healing energy for just that outcome! From the way those techs acted, you would have thought they couldn't find your carotid artery or something! {{{HUGS}}}

Whew.....is it safe to giggle now? I'm not naming names....but there was definitely some pinching going on and the couch was squeaking alot!!! Amy....you've been through so much poking, prodding, scans, blood tests, xrays, surgery and insults.........at this point if we can say that knowledge is power you have been turned into Wonder Woman! I pray that the thyroid issue is soon behind you and you can move on to taking FF out for that dinner and he won't give the text messaging another thought. My prayers also go out to FF as we've become fond of him thru you and I can understand his fears concerning MS since he's witnessed it thru his father. (((MC))) (((FF)))
"kissy-facey" ?????? LOL! CBM....I'm ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!! =D

Oh! I am so sorry that you are going thru so much! You MUST keep the faith!
Your babies need you, and your friends here need you! This is disheartening, yes, but you can and will overcome! Sending white light...healing thoughts...
prayers your way! (((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))Posted 2 years ago by NJKatwoman #

Cheers for MC/Wonder Woman for going thru all of the challenges you had so far this year! When I joined the TDK site your personality came thru as strong,supportive & omptimistic! I applaud you for the way you are handling these challenges! FF seems like a "fine fellow" to have as part of your cheering section...plus Dentists need to have patients too!

I can't add anything, MC but you know that I send lots of hugs and keep you in my prayers.
I still cannot get over the very unprofessional behavior of the tech in the ultrasound department. There just is no excuse for that.

(((MC AND FF))), I just got back from out of town late yesterday and I'm catching up...I am so sorry that you both have been going through so many health problems. The worst part is the not knowing and waiting on tests, etc. MC, you and FF are in my thoughts and prayers. It's almost as you were brought together to provide strength for each other during these times. I hope you get your thyroid problems straightened out. I have been hypothyroid since birth, so I can tell you the proper meds make the difference between night and day in how you feel. You will be amazed...take care mi amiga and take care of FF too.
