Well, I know that we are all cats lovers here, but I thought I would share that my boyfriend and I have adopted a dog from the pound here in Oregon!! He's a rottweiler and labrador mix with the rottweiler body and and affectionate & sweet personality of a lab. His name is Pete & we are planning to keep his name; he does not have any cat issue & has been even known to curl up with the furballs :o) He's neutered, all shots and licensed, etc.
Here's as much of his story as I know:
His foster mom said that he has been in the pound for over 5 months and was marked as a "red flag" dog, which means that if he's not adopted by a certain time, they would of euthanized him. He is all manners and already knows how to sit, shake, go over that, and hardly barks at all. The pound thinks that he was someone's pet until some hardship fell upon them.
I'm so happy that we are finally able to get a dog, as I have been wanting one for almost 2 years! I will share pictutes as soon as we can get some, he's supposed to be at our house in less than an hour!!! :D
