  1. Well, I know that we are all cats lovers here, but I thought I would share that my boyfriend and I have adopted a dog from the pound here in Oregon!! He's a rottweiler and labrador mix with the rottweiler body and and affectionate & sweet personality of a lab. His name is Pete & we are planning to keep his name; he does not have any cat issue & has been even known to curl up with the furballs :o) He's neutered, all shots and licensed, etc.

Here's as much of his story as I know:
His foster mom said that he has been in the pound for over 5 months and was marked as a "red flag" dog, which means that if he's not adopted by a certain time, they would of euthanized him. He is all manners and already knows how to sit, shake, go over that, and hardly barks at all. The pound thinks that he was someone's pet until some hardship fell upon them.

I'm so happy that we are finally able to get a dog, as I have been wanting one for almost 2 years! I will share pictutes as soon as we can get some, he's supposed to be at our house in less than an hour!!! :D

  2. Congratulations! I love my kittehs, but I also love my goggies! Sherlock the puppy goggie and Deuter Bug the kitteh are the very best of friends. They cuddle and romp together. Right now they are in my duaghter's room curled up on her bed having a kitteh/goggie nap!

  5. It's always great to hear stories like this - lucky Pete, poor lad, 5 months in the pound is one heck of a long time, bless you for giving him a loving home. May he reward you with many long and happy years.

  10. Pete's home!!! His foster dad dropped him off about an hour and a half ago. I've already taken him on a walk and the boy is out taking in on another one. It's amazing, there are two dogs across the street that were loose in their yard & Pete sat down and just looked at them. That cats are doing well, Pumpkin is braver than Nilla and has already gotten less than a foot away from him and checked him out & Pete just looked at her, then at me like "See I'm a good boy mom"

I'm glad it working out and I will get some pics up soon!

  18. I just stopped by to meet Pete. He is a 70 pound lovebug--very mellow, well-mannered dog. He is also very lucky to have found a forever home. Yay, AL82 and son!!

  19. Yay, I love Rotties they are just big lap pups no matter their age. Mine love both Haje and Ms. B, he would drool all over them as babies (they were 4 wks old when I got them) and paly chase with them always being very careful where he stepped/ran.
