   Well, it looks like I'll try this again tonight. Remember it's been a long time since I've 'officially' opened the night shift, so here goes ~
   Doors are open, even if it is a tad late, the fountains are bubbling and the smells from the kitchen are incredible! Yummy snacks! Should be plenty for people and kittehs alike!! Also, the bar is open, the staff (kittehs and Sven) are ready, but tonight it looks like it will be "self-serve" so, don't hesitate to help yourselves! I'm having a black russian (vodka and kahlua) on the rocks...

   Pull up a chair, take a look at the other threads, celebrate and be thankful with the TDK family! Welcome!

   Hi, KM!!! That black russian sounds wonderful. I used to like kahlua and cream. Anything chocolate works for me! lol

   Hi KM and KW! I agree with you KW..anything chocolate is good. A nice chilled glass of chardonnay and some brie with water crackers would be nice.

   Got in some snoozing and cuddling with my kitties this afternoon and I feel better. I did my grocery shopping and went and signed a six month lease for my apartment. I end up paying $25 more a month which I am not happy about but even though I tried they wouldn't budge on that. She started to say I would also be paying pet rent and I said, what..and she said oh sorry that is only for new tenants, not current tenants so she said there wasn't any pet rent for me. I informed her that I wouldn't be signing if I was to end up paying pet rent. Also found out that if I want to move to third floor unit in the complex, that more than likely I would have to pay to clean the unit and any paint touch ups and then would have to pay all over again a new deposit for the new place. She said that in this market that they will consider a transfer instead of new deposit.

   I had a good day. All caught up at work and heading into a busy weekend with hula. Our event is a week from tomorrow. Yikes!

   well, i am ready to sit down and sip on an ice cold diet pepsi and chat. my bedroom is done (yay !!!) and now i can move on to the next project, which is to finish putting all my storage boxes away, finish the laundry, and maybe start populating the dining room with a table and chairs. maybe i can even get my stero hooked up !!! it's been sitting in pieces in the living room. i still want to paint the livingroom, i'll have to wait until i'm back to work full-time to pay for the paint. i don't know when i'll be back to work, it'll still be a couple more moths at the least...

   but here's a toast to the TDK's and their beloved pets !!!

    Evening KM, KW, SMM, Joan, and Cheri.

    Went to the company picnic--not many there! Dos Equis with lime seems to be the drink of the evening--although we all agreed that German beer is better! There was so much food! Way more than the 20-25 that showed up could eat. They had planned on 60. Even the head of my hubby's company didn't show up--I personally thought that was a bit tacky. Anyway those that went had a good time--many left there and went for drinks at Chili's. I am old and tired--I will let the kids go dance on the tables tonight!

    Good call, SM! I ducked out after my last post to go have dinner at our neighbors' house. I thought I still had a half hour before the festivites but hubby told me it was sooner. They are such nice people. We are so lucky to have neighbors who are also our best friends. :)

    Definitely German beer is better. That is tacky when the head of the company doesn't show up for a company picnic. No company picnic for us, we had a thank you for a job well done - fajitas and churros but nothing else. They were pretty good but I would rather have a bonus than some lunch. Oh well.

    I am off to go play with Mia as she is becoming restless. Have a good evening all.

    Peeking in and with the lights turned down low, the music playing in the background, and hearing the soft snoring of kittehs coming from all corners, its seems that everyone is relaxed and resting while waiting for the morning chat to open :)

    Wow meeting the future in-laws, big deal there and you will do just fine MS. Sleep well and scritches to HRH in the morning.

    Yes I am usually going to bed @ sparrow fart hour, but still tired from being up 24 hrs (Wed-Thurs) from working and then going to the doctor. Plus worrying about my Mom even though I know she is in good care. I am at home, tomorrow night is my Monday @ w**K, the weekend is way too short these days.

    Jcat if you are scooting to bed soon, sleep well and scritches to Jasper and Libby in the morning.

    Sorry, Deb, I scooted off into the shower before toddling off to bed. Of course you are worrying about your mum, that's only natural, but it does sound like she is doing well and being well taken care of. But try to take care of yourself as well, I know you find it difficult to sleep but being up 24 hours is not good, I'm not surprised you're shattered.

    Scritches to the crew too, Deb. Libs and Jasper are chasing each other round the house at the moment and driving me crazy, they keep getting me up to let one of them out the front door and then the other one's face appears around a corner and off they scoot again... I wouldn't mind if they would make up their minds but I'm going to bed without them, lol.
