Its usually slow around here on the weekends so the girls and I are going to have a grilling NS. Everything you want from steak to chicken boobs and bums, hamburgers, hot dogs and kabobs. Grilled veggies and fruits as well. We have ice cream and cobbler for dessert. The bar is stocked and ready to go! Join us or get a "to go" plate. Betty and Wilma are taking over for Velvet and Spice who are lounging in the corner with the kitty masseur! Sven is here for Cheri or whoever gets to him first! Happy Caturday!

Evening MC--good to see you start the night shift.
I am actually grilling kabobs tonight and have just cut the cherries to make a cherry cobbler. Daughter is having a friend over. Tomorrow the bishop is here so if they are here we know they won't be late for church! Actually he was here for the tea. It was a wonderful tea. Very nicely done.

I have been craving a nice steak. I still have my Black Angus gift card and was thinking of going and having a late dinner tonight or maybe I will go tomorrow. I haven't made up my mind yet but need to do so in the next 10 mins or it will get too late to go since I still need to take a shower and get dressed. It has been one of those lazy snoozing days with my cats. Temperature today never got above 63 degrees. It was nice and sunny though. My kind of weather.

I had some lovely nectarines for breakfast this morning (think peaches without the fuzz) and they were just delicious. I have to go buy some more as Safeway got in a wonderful batch the other day and they are just yummy!! I think I will do the Black Angus tomorrow..too late tonight and my cats are enjoying themselves watching the red finches flit about and land in the trees nearby.

MC, did you have the tests and did they give the results or is that all for next week?

Leela enjoyed her birds today too. I don't think we have red finches but we've got yellow ones. I don't often turn the radio on upstairs because I love listening to the birds sing!

We just had dinner. It was wonderful! Beef kabobs loaded with vegetables placed on top of saffron rice. It was very tasty! I made a fresh cherry cobbler for dessert. I am too full from dinner to possibly have dessert! The kids will get into it for sure!
I have the church barbecue tomorrow, so I had best turn in.

Joan, I haven't seen a yellow finch since I lived in Marin County. I think they might be pets who have escaped as I don't think it is a native but I could be wrong. I miss the Juncos who have an all black head and are from Oregon, the Titmice, and all the other birds that would come visit the bird feeder I had at my old place for a bit till the rats showed up and I had to take it down.
Your dinner sounds yummy Soxsmom! I am having turkey stuffed red peppers and for dessert it is Dreyers Dibs (ice cream in chocolate). Sweet dreams SM!

Yes, JCAT. I called the ER and the wait was 4.5 hours. There was no way I was going to go wait that long on a Saturday night. There was some sort of accident and that put them behind. It did clear up again so I am happy about that. I have all my tests on monday so I am holding out. If it does happen today (Sunday) I will definitely go in. I have a feeling FF will give me SH** about it too!
