Yes, you would think I was asking them something awful! Just help a little with housework, NOT in their job description! I will have a good day, lazy today!

MC, even just a little bit of dusting with their tails, backs or whatever....its not like they don't laze about anyways, lol.

Anyone out there?

I'm here, MC. I just got back from the gym (where I did really well again, whoo hoo!), and am planning a big salad for lunch. I may not be here for long, Mike's on his way home from his gym, so we'll probably have our second coffee out on the balcony. Plus, I *have to* go jump in the shower soon - I stink!
George is curled up asleep in his favorite cardboard box, demonstrating again why I want to be a cat in my next life :)

Absolutely! But I want good owners, someone who is on TDK! Good for you for doing a hard workout!

I'm here too. I desperately want to zonk out on the sofa after Mum's birthday lunch, and just snooze the afternoon away, but Mum and her friend are still here, so I can't!

Yo Kilroy!! (waving back)
Stop being such a goody goody at the gym, you're shaming us Sunday slobs! ;o)

Yikes! Poor Mike next time he puts a foot wrong, lol!!

You really make us look bad Kilroy! What did you have for your mum's party?

We had chicken in a white wine & cream sauce, with plain potatoes and peas & corn, then peach melba cheesecake, yum!

Oh yum, I can see why you want to zonk out. Such good foods.

Mum is also in hyper-talkative mood today, virtually non-stop since she got here at 12.30 (it's now 3.50). My head is spinning! How her friend is putting up with it I do not know!

LOL @ MCW! Mums are that way, mine is!

Mum is bi-polar MC, so it's not always a good sign...hopefully today it's just the excitement of the day plus seeing her friend again, but it's something I'll have to monitor over the next week or so, she might need her medication tweaking.

Understood but my mom is quite chatty herself! She COULD be bipolar!

Sometimes I don't know which is the more difficult to deal with, the never ending chatter, or the doldrums of depression. A happy medium would be nice, but doesn't seem to come around that often!

Problem with Mum is, if she suddenly realises she's been too chatty and a bit "high" - she then freefalls into a depression as a direct result.

I can only imagine! That must be difficult

It's a helluva lot easier now she's living in the home and there's a team of people sharing the day to day responsibility; she just wasn't looking after herself properly in her own place, and I couldn't cope with all of that + work - I landed up in hospital at the end of 2007 as a result of trying!

you absolutely did the right thing!
