Hello everyone! We were lulled to sleep by yet another booming t-storm. Leela doesn't really mind them, but hubby went outside to check something and he came in the back door just as thunder and lightning hit at the same time. All I heard were scrambling kitty nails as she ran from the kitchen to hide under the futon I was sitting on!

It can't be Monday already...I didn't get everything done I wanted to over the weekend. Story of my life, though, never getting everything done.
MC, I'll be thinking of you and also saying a prayer for FF.
CM, whenever you get a chance to read this, I hope you'll be feeling better. It's hard enough to feel so bad, but having 2 little girls to take care of makes it even harder.Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

When we woke this morning Leela had put Larry at the top of the stairs to guard us...
Cleaned part of the bedroom that has been collecting stuff. You know, the places you stuff things that people won't see when looking at the house. I stopped when I got to where Shaddo and Jiggs are. That is saved for a special time when I have plenty of time to properly look at their things.Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I am feeling better..still slow motion though :) The girls are challenging today for sure. I still need to eat breakfast!
I started a thread, there are prayers needed for a friend big time since she will have surgery today.Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Hello to ALL!!!! Yes, CM, it is SO hard to feel yucky when you have little ones, because they don't understand and still need your attention!
GD, that Bobster sure is a dickens :)
I have my Granddaughter for the day, so have to get showered and get on with the day....I'm sure she'll want to go swimming..she could live in the water! I hope everyone has a good Monday! -
OK I have finished as much of the cleaning as I am going to do today. I officially hate housework. I mean what's the point the place will only get dirty again ...
I have wrinkly fingers and the house smells of polish and floor cleaner. The toilets are sparkling and you could (almost) eat your dinner from the kitchen floor. If my husband complains about the smell of cleaning fluids that's just what he might be doing!
Quick pass a kitten through the wormhole, with a large bottle of champagne and a chilled tulip shaped glass please. A raspberry or two wouldn't go amiss either.Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

Actually, I'll change my order to a large jug of Pimms, with cucumber, strawberries, mint, orange slices, lime wedges and lemon slices. A tall frosted glass and a stirrer with a spike on the end to eat the fruit in a ladylike way (otherwise I have to pick it out of my glass with my fingers - not a good look!).

I wore white socks around the house on Saturday which were quite dingy at the end of the day so I decided it is time to at least vacuum. Didn't get to the kitchen floors, but it's a small kitchen so I may get to that after work. Went thru 2 fully packed canisters (vacuum is bagless with a HEPA filter in it) - that's a lot of dirt/hair/etc!

Yes I have a Dyson so it's a similar machine. I had to empty it three (or was it four) times, and I still haven't done the bedrooms. I've just given up for the day. I'll have another go tomorrow - perhaps.

Good morning. I had a busy weekend so I don't want to get going this morning. I'm enjoying my time off even though I'm not happy for the reason. I got a gallon of huckleberries Sat which I have to take care of yet. I decided I am almost too old to be climbing up and down a mountain side--a steep one. Yesterday we had a block party at the church. It was a lot of work but fun. Tonight we start vacation Bible School. Being laid off gives me the opportunity to do more volunteer work at a time it is needed.

Morning everyone, I had to come in and hit the gorund running this morning and now it is almost lunch! I'll take a BLT to go!
I had a great weekend seeing old friends in Alabama and meeting my friends' newly adopted children. Now it is Monday once again and a long week stretching out in front of me.

Ok, I am off to be the "bride of Frankenstein" and have my EEG and other tests done. That is the one where they hook your entire head up to electrodes. I am sooooooo NOT looking forward to it!

MC: keep thinking "TDK White Light is an Awesome Force" {{{MC}}}

I hope MC is doing well and she remembers that we are all thinking about her. This afternoon is light work for me, so I'm getting things done and then checking out items on the computer. I've got 4 payrolls yet to run this week, but no one has emailed them in yet. I know they will all come at once. Sometimes it's "feast or famine" at work.

I've had an EEG - no fun! Keeping my fingers crossed for MC.
It's evening here now. I'll have a glass of wine and some pasta please, with lots of parmigiano-reggiano.

Oh EEG's are so not fun, and the flashing lights gave me a horrendous migraine :(

I found I didn't know whether my eyes were open or shut towards the end. They kept saying open your eyes, now close your eyes and I didn't know whether I was doing it right or not. Horrible things. And I was picking Bostick out of my hair for days afterwards.

It Summer here, so of course it's raining - it always hisses it down throughout a British Summer! But we haven't had thunder since Friday, so that's a bonus.

Afternoon all. We actually have humidity and a 30% chance of rain! It sure is over cast and we could use a little more rain! For those getting an over abundance of rain please send it to Deb--Arizona is roasting! I really hope MC is almost done with tests. I go back on the 30th. I would sure like them to take another look at sinuses and stomach, hubby thinks I have another obstruction.
-
That just went plain lousy. I am totally bummed. I updated on the other thread MC....not good news. I could use a big TDK hug!

PM, I know that stuff stays in your hair for what seems like days.
Soxsmom, thank you for wanting to share the 'chance' of rain, it would be nice wouldn't it....good luck with your sinuses, those are so troubling I have them too. Was reading that they are now thinking of using balloon treatments to open the nasal passages, but figure it won't be affordable for some time even with medical insurance.
