Hey everyone, here's an update on Pete and my furballs :o)--
Pete had a big day on Saturday, being that we got him on Friday. We took him to the river in the morning and he loved it. He willingly went in by himself and swam, and liked all the smells that the shrubbery had to offer! Then we took him to the dog park, and he made fast friends with everyone! His tail was wagging all the time & he has a fondness for beagles! He was the best behaved dog at the park and everyone noticed!
Saturday night, after I got off work, I came home to a houseful of people (7 people [3 kids], 3 dogs, & 2 cats) & Pete loved the attention from the kids. The little boy who is almost 2 got to "ride" Pete and Pete didn't mind a bit! Our guests had 2 chocolate labs, and he got along with the girl, but the boy chocolate lab did not get along with Pete. During the introduction process, Pete showed that he is very protective of his house and his people. Overall, Pete is fitting in quite nicely, although him and the cats aren't best friends as of yet, but at least they can sleep in the same room with each other. I know it's going to take a while for everyone to get used to each other.
I could not be happier with how things are going and Pete seems to be happy!
