Frances, it might help also to talk with the other two kitties and explain to them that Annabelle crossed over the bridge. They understand more than one would think. Welcome to TDK.

Thank you all for your kind words. Someone said "as time goes by our tears will be replaced by smiles as we remember the good and loving things we shared" I know in time this day will come for us but for now it is so painful. Being able to share with others who understand is a great help.

These are the babies we found 2 years ago and raised. They grew into beautiful cats. Left to right: Our sweet Annabelle, brother Zeb and sister Gracie. I am worried about Zeb. He and Annabelle were very close, he was really a big brother to her. I find him laying in the same places she lay and he goes back and forth to the door looking out. I know he is missing her. I talk to him and love on him, other than that I don't know what to do. Gracie seems to be okay, maybe because her and Annabelle were never that close. Gracie is a loner and she keeps to herself. I don't know if she does miss Annabelle or not. How do you know these things when they can't tell you how they feel?

I am so sorry for your loss Frances. Zeb is definately missing Annabelle. Two of our kitties had a similar close relationship and when Alec passed on dear Belle missed him terribly. She looked for him everywhere for at least two weeks. They have emotions just like we do so it is very sad for them too. Huggs to all of you.
