I have a distinct problem loving any cat that fights with mine! Also any stray cat that comes in to my house and pees on the coffee maker which happened one time!

Hi! I'm new here. I don't wanna intrude on you guys' conversation, you just seemed like nice people. I remember one time when I was really young and I had a little kitten, and since my sister and I were so little we named it "Grey Kitty" :) We were little, you can't blame us for trying.
-
Hi, TexGirl! You aren't intruding. If you want to introduce yourself, start a new thread under the "Introduction" topic in main chat forum. You will be warmly welcomed by the TDK family. Do you have any cats now? I think "Grey Kitty" is a perfectly fine name for a cat. If you'd like to see my two cats, click on my screen name and you will see their web pages on Catster.com. :-)

Hi texgirl! I see you're a middle-schooler from Massachusetts!That's so cool!
Welcome to TDK and we'd LOVE to read all about your stories and interests AND "Grey Kitty"! I'M originally from Massachusetts! That's why you caught my eye when you typed up "middle-schooler" (Most other places across the country use "junior-high",kinda' funny huh?)Anyways, welcome! And see also if you can't introduce yourself to rosieposie123.She's here on the thread titled "To Rosieposie123...".She's 12,I believe, and sounds like a fun person to know. :) -
Greetings. New to this blog and thrilled that I found it! I'm the Feline Care Coordinator for the local shelter where I live. Lots of surrendered cats, lots of strays. Lots of aggravation dealing with the public. But the good - sort of! - news is that I am armed with alarming photos of what happens during a declaw amputation, so I'm convincing people, one person at a time that declawing is disgusting.
Don't want to admit that I'm a crazy cat lady, since I only have one that lives with me, but I've got 35 in my care, so I'm on my way!!!

We're thrilled that you found us, too, Liquidiamonds!! And especially since you have kitties that you work with. Welcome and please join in our conversations. Some of us are sane, some are kinda, some are not (LOL), but we do have fun!

Welcome to TDK, LiquidDiamonds! (What a great name, but I'm sure it will be shortened to LD.) We would love to see a photo of your furry family member. Do you have a webpage for him/her on Catster.com? They are free and easy to set up. Click on my screen name to see my two polydactyl girls.
Please consider starting your own thread under the Introductions topic so others know that you are here!
I look forward to hearing more about you and your kit!

Welcome to TDK. I think de-clawing must be an American thing. I've never heard of it being done over here. I'm not sure that a vet would agree to do it. Some people clip their pets claws a bit.

HI LD, welcome to the family and a big HELLO to Texgirl94.
Now just one quick question... if you are in middle school, do your parents know you are posting? We're a good bunch of people and you are safe here, but you should let your folks know. OK?

I'm bumping this thread up to see if rosieposie123 and texgirl94 can get to meet each other here! Texgirl,TigerandBogman'sMama has very sound advice for you. This IS a safe forum and young adults as well as grownups are welcome here, but just make sure you're not leaving your parents unawawre of your visits here,as I'm sure you know!Rosieposie123,I know your parents are agreeable to it,are they not? It's not our intention to come across as nags here, girls! You guys are smart enough to realize the dangers out there on the Internet, just stay safe and keep loved ones informed! We ALL care about you! :)

Thank you! Yes, my mom knows i am posting here. I luuuuv kittens, but the apartment i am living in won't let us have any pets. :( But my friend down the road has 3 cats, and my favorite is a fully black one (i'm not supersticious) named Shadow. She is really sweet. I would really like to meet rosieposie123, that would be cool, and thank you again. I just moved to massachusetts from Texas, and even though i miss my old home alot, Melrose was very welcoming. And I have never talked to anyone on the internet that was an alarming situation, or agreed to meet anyone I don't know already. I have heard what has happened to girls that did those things, and I will never do anthing like it. Thanks for watching out for me!

Hi, Texgirl. There is another young TDKer that just started posting yesterday: Mackinzie00. Check out his or her thread called "my cool new dog" Mackinzie is 10 years old.
Glad to know that your mom knows you are posting here. You sound like someone who understands the dangers of chatting with strangers online. Maybe sometime in the near future your family will be able to live in a place that allows pets. In the meantime, enjoy ours here!

texgirl, go to the main chat page, "Latest Discussions". Click on the "Add New" topic (gray shaded box). For your Topic Title, put something to get rosie and mackinzie's attention. Something like, "Hello rosieposie and mackinzie" Then in Post, just type what you want to say. Hope this helps! :)
