Friday the other front desk woman told me a trainer friend of New Weird Boss Guy was bringing in peopl for a boot camp on Saturday morning.
Saturday mornin te guy showed up with a total of 7 people. One of the people came in with WNBG and was talking to him, but I said hello eventhough she seemed pretty stand-offish. Big Boss saw me check the other new ones in, welcome them, give out towels etc. I had everyone fill out their information sheets before the class started.
At one point WNBG came up to check a sign in sheet and only saw one sign in (he's looking for email addresses). I told him I had their email addresses on the papers they have to fill out before working out.
Anyway, yesterday I got in and the other front desk lady said she had something to show me. She had a print out of an email WNBG had sent EBL and BB. In it, he totally slams both of us. He tells them he asked his ex her impression of me on Saturday morning and she told him she thought I was unfriendly and didn't offer her a towel or a locker. I was busy with othes, she'd been there before and knows where the towels are, plus she was talking to WNBG!!
Then he complains that I didn't get anyone's email address when I specifically told him I had infor on everyone in the class in a folder I made up!!!
He also tells the bosses that the other front desk lady and I had 14 days to promote the boot camp and we didn't!!!!
He ended the letter telling EBL and BB that we need to be replaced FAST and that the gym can't afford having such terrible people working at the front desk!!!
Of course he just so happens to have some friends who would be perfect for the front desk as our replacements!
I'm SO mad as is the other lady!
I told EBL (who doesn't like WNBG and wants us to stay) tat I got everyone's infor on their sign up papers. Then she asked both of us if we'd been told to promote the boot camp and we both said no. I told her I actually didn't know about it til Friday and that I thought it was an independent trainer thing and that it didn't include our clients.
She confronted WNBG who lied to her face and insisted he'd told us to promote it!
To make matters worse he had a new "customer service liaison" lady there yesterday. She sat with me at the front desk and I was getting her contact infor for old clients. She jumped in and was very aggressive toward any customers who cam in. A few of them asked me afterwards who in the world she was and what her problem was.
I closed the gym and was telling GG all of this. He says he'd love to coplain about the new lady and sing my praises - I told him to go for it!
EBL wants the new guy and his buddies - including the new lady - to fail. She even suggested I have some friends come in and then call and complain about the new service lady while complementing me
Whether I end up chosing to stay at the gym (if I don't get fired in the next week) or not, it upsets me to read something like what WNBG wrote about me. (Of course we weren't intended to see it, but EBL printed it for us).
We'll see what happens today.....
