  1. Agency kitties are all set with fresh water, crunchies and clean litterboxes. Some of them stayed up all night partying and celebrating Pickles and Button's birthday!
Buffet is set up, juice fountains are humming, agency kitties looking for laps to lounge on and Leela is going to try her hand/paw at the omlet station today.
    Welcome!

  2. Morning, Joan, do you think Leela could pass me some pastries please? I don't mind if they're a little bit nibbled round the edges...

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  3. Good morning, I'll have coffee and a couple of pastries please.

Hepburn wouldn't come in last night - dirty stopout. She finally came home at 6.00 this morning - I suppose she was hungry by then. She was quite snuggly (after she had eaten!) and let me pet her for a while before she decided she had had enough.

  4. Morning, Afternoon and Good Evening :)
    *scritches Leela*
I was up till about 3am trying to get Abbie into a solid sleep..just when you think she was asleep and down for the night, she was up again...then at 6:30 Maddie started crying, she fell out of bed, so that's how my day began...I need some coffee and more coffee :)
    How is everyone?

  5. awwww Hepburn decided there is no place like home :) Silly girl out all hours.

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  6. Oh, CM, that's no good. I hope you can get some nap time in today!
*Passes a whole percolator over to CM.*

  7. Hepburn just doesn't understand how catflaps work. She knows she can go through them (I have shoved her through several times and have helped her "start" the flap on more occasions) but she just can't seem to get it by herself. Garbo is now in and out all day - she's a professional catflap user now.

  8. Hi, PM, have you tried putting Hepburn on one side and her breakfast on the other and then showing her through the catflap where her food is and then leaving her to it? I think cats often save their brains for things that really matter (like scavenging food!)

  9. *Leela manages to get pastries to Jcat (un-nibbled) without dropping.* I thought it would be good for her to learn how to hostess.
Shaddo and Jiggs would have loved a catflap. They spent hundreds of hours training us to get up in the middle of the night to let them in/out.

  10. Awww, thanks Leela, you're doing beautifully!

  11. me too jcat...it's supposed to be 87 degrees today too..30C.....aghh....hot hot hot.
I am also trying to make a list of fall clothing I am going to need to get the girls. It's coming.....I LOVE fall though! Also trying to plan Maddie's birthday...that's in October, but it's creeping up slowly!

  12. I remember fall is your favourite season, CM, you are a leaf-peeper! Maddie will be such a big girl!

Well, I need to get to bed, have a great day everyone!

  14. Morning everyone!..... LOL PM, at the "cat flap adverntures"!..... Cuddles and Abby used one in our big house before we sold it - Cuddles didn't like it, but I did just as Jcat said, I fed them out on the porch (where the litter bins were), so if she wanted to eat, she had to use it!...... now that we're moving again, I just had Hubbs install another cat flap in the french doors that go out to the sun porch...... she'll have to drag her lazy but through it again to get to her breakfast!...... (paws crossed that she cooperates!)

  15. Good morning! Have Leela bring me a glass of orange juice and a croissant dipped in chocolate.
Got work to do this morning, but maybe I'll get back later.

  16. I wish I could stay & get a kitten omelet but rushed...so a nice big mug of black java to go and a head bonk from a black fluffy cat to start the day...hope all have a teriffic Tuesday!(Kitcat birthday party...how fun is that!)

  17. Leela, please put your hairnet back on. Everyone here knows cat hair is a condiment, but no one wants to drink yours. *checks glass of orange juice before passing it on to LK*

Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  18. Now Joan..no meal or drink is complete without a kitty hair :)

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  19. At least she's short hair. Unlike Jiggs who, well, let's face it - he was a Maine Coon and only had eyes for me so he probably wouldn't have wanted to host a cafe, lol.

Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  20. awww Jiggs..he could have worn his hair in a ponytail. :)

  21. It is cool here this morning. Temps are suppose to get to around 70 degrees today. I love this nice cool weather but it does mess with the agriculture. I would assume the wine companies don't like this cooler weather as the grapes won't ripen appropriately. Then again, gives them a reason to raise prices.

Waffles with canadian maple syrup, side of sausage and a large glass of chilled orange juice, please. Oh and a mocha too.

The stupid doves are back for round 7 of babies. I think this is a different set of doves. This morning the cat came to checked up on them and the dove flew off. I heard her leave as she bangs against windows flying away. This was around 5:30am. I saw there were three eggs in the nest. Two of the eggs were sitting in the nest for about 4 days without a dove sitting on them. I don't know if they are viable. She was gone 30 minutes and then came back to the nest. I told the dove then, you are just a food vending machine for the calico cat. After this set of babies, I am going to move or dismantle the nest. I have had enough of their baby making. It has been going on for six months now! It was suppose to have stopped by now.

  22. SMM, how sad for the doves.
Joan, I think from time to time we've all dealt with the cat hair situation. At work, we always say that no outfit is complete unless there is cat hair on it. It's funny because I am grossed out by finding human hair, even my own, but if it's cat hair, I just remove it.

  23. Morning and afternoon all! Not sure what is going on with my metabolism. I had a good breakfast of cheese eggs this morning and here it is not even noon in the Central time zone and I am starving! I can haz Cheezburger? With bacon and fries?

    Posted 2 years ago by KYKAT 12 23 #

  24. mmmm kykat..I will have one too!!
lol LK, that's how I am too. Other hair makes me shudder but cat hair doesn't bother me in the least.
Wow, busy time for the doves..I have a bird house on my front porch and we have had 4 sets of babies so far. I love watching them and I make sure I feed them as well..or at least throw out some bread for the momma's to feed them :)

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  25. Kykat, just saw the pictures of Abbie with the hat you made. That is an adorable hat and looks so well on Abbie. She seems very happy with it. I know what you mean about metabolism...some days I just can't seem to find the right food and staves off that hungry feeling all day. I can eat different things, but nothing seems to satisfy me.

Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

  26. Well its only 96F here now with the anticipated 107F by this afternoon, can you see me melting as I type, lol! Everyone is fed so its off to try and sleep before its starts getting really warm, ciao for now everyone have a good day!

  27. Hi, Everyone! Has anyone talked to MC this morning? I don't see her anywhere around here and am concerned about whether or not she has spoken to her doctor today.

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  28. I have tried all sorts of tricks with Hepburn and the catflap, including leaving her out last night (food was inside). I'm sure she will get it eventually, but at the moment she remains stubornly stupid. She wants to go out and she will sit by the flap looking at it. If I pick her up and push her head or her paw through the flap sothat she can see/smell outside then she will got through, she just will not make the first move herself.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  29. silly Hepburn...I hope she will learn it soon..

All I have seen of MC is she posted on facebook this morning about going to work again. That's it...all has been quiet. I am a bit worried.

  30. A British woman has just won the 100 metres backstroke world champoinship in a new world record time. WOW! She beat a Russian and an Aussie.
