Hello ALL!! Just got back from the campground....we had a horrible storm yesterday.....2 inches of rain in 10 minutes...also was a tornado in the neighborhood.....lots of branches and leaves down. Today is the calm after the storm....sunny and 75..you know me, I could use it warmer:))) I have been wondering about MC also!

Wow, Katthays - that just doesn't sound like optimal camping weather! Were you in a tent?

LK, I would like to claim I made that beautiful hat, but my friend Grace made it for me to give to Abbie. She is the very talented knitter.

I have seen MC on Facebook saying she is back at work but nothing else.

Perhaps, since MC is at work, she is too busy to let us know what's happening. The upside being that she is ok enough to be at work.
WWM - I believe katthays works at a camp ground.
And it is Tuesday... we are moving our office to the 2nd floor tomorrow. I'll be packing boxes, and probably moving them myself, later today. Get a jump on things.
Found myself in a very dark mood yesterday.... still waiting for it to lift. I'm pushing on it, but it's very heavy.
-
2P, if your mood is very black remember the simple things you can do: stand up straight, shoulders back, breathe properly, avoid alcohol and caffeine (they are depressants) eat a banana and some chocolate, smile at people - they will often smile back and it makes you feel better. Mood is often linked to physical things like posture and nutrition.
I hope you feel better soon.Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

Oooh, they're playing the Stones' "Shattered" - Shaddo's theme song! One of his nicknames was Shadoobie ("shadoobie - shaddo, shaddo").
{{{2P}}} I know that dark feeling. It's hard to shake, even when you acknowledge it.
I have one of those signs in my bedroom that says "no outfit is complete without cat hair". Of course - I wouldn't want it any other way. I love being at work and finding one of Leela's hairs. Not too long ago, I actually found a Jiggs hair! A long hair Maine Coon is quite distinct.
Thinking of you, MC.Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

Hi all! Still no word on my tests. The doc was putting a "RUSH" processing on them! I am waiting............. FF is coming over to sit with me while I wait for the results, isn't that sweet? LOL

MC - yea for FF !!!
PM in UK - I am very conscious of my posture (thanks to my trainer's voice resonating in my head !) and have been eating well (except for the popcorn last night). Had a banana as part of breakfast and just had dark chocolate covered raisins. I'm trying.... tears remain on the verge today. I hate that !!!
-
Well you are obviously doing everything right, 2P. Hula yourself happy when you get home!

Paul Biedermann beat Michael Phelps in the 200m Freestyle. Phelps got the silver.

KH, not a camper, huh? We camped years ago. Now "roughing it" is "what, no hair dryer in this hotel??"

One of my friends has been heard to say "No ensuite? Not doing it!" but she actually tried camping this year because her little daughter soooooooo wanted to go camping and they are a little short of money. I don't know how things went.

I would not camp if you paid me in chocolate to do so!!!! Well, certainly not in this country, where the slightest glimpse of canvas guarantees rain, rain, and more rain!!!

I have camped quite a bit in the past, but only in France. It's a cheap way to get a good holiday when you are a student.

We camped out for a car show, a 4 day event. One year four of us decided to pool our resources and rent an RV. Weather was perfect for 4 days!

I like to camp in a hotel with a bed, running water and toilet, hot shower and tv :)

I have only camped in a tent. Oh no, I forgot I stayed a week in a caravan 2 Summers ago. Enjoyed the tenting, loved the company in the caravan, didn't like the caravan.

Sending 2Popoki some hugs. I know the feeling of a black mood. I have been camping and liked it on the most part since we always came prepared. Of course it has been about 15 years ago since I last went camping.

I gave up tent camping when my son and I were camping at a church camp and it rained two nights in a row and the tent started leaking and blowing down. We were moved into a cabin and I thought that's it. My son and his family will camp out every now and then, but not as often as they used to. I think they are beginning to see the wisdom of "modern convenience" camping.
