  1. Sounds interesting, Dee; thanks for the post. Has anyone else heard about this product?

  2. I have indeed. I was in the testing group when they were developing it! Maybe it was just my brain "tricking" me but it actually worked for me. Since I was in the study I got the stuff free, once it was over I stopped since it was way too expensive to buy. I have to say that I believe the study is on to something and there could definitely be some good implications from what they learned. I got a copy of the developers book on his theory and it makes sense that your mind can be "tricked" into believing its full. I think I lost around 30 lbs with the stuff.

  4. Mollycat - how long was the study? How long did it take you to lose those 30 lbs?

  5. That is seriously interesting. I wonder if it's just a USA thing?

    *goes off to google...*

  6. I've actually heard about this somewhere else too, it was getting good reviews there too. I think I'd give it a go when it comes out over here - I know it's expensive but it'll be worth it if it helps me to control my eating a bit :s. I prefer the idea of this to any of the diet pills that can mess up your metabolism and heart.

  9. Thanks Dee! Wow MC...you have heads up on this product. I just heard about it recently. I wonder if there are any long term effects. Re:what is it made from

  10. 235.00 for six months or 59.00 per month. You get two flavors, sweet and savory. You shake one flavor on sweet things and one of pretty much everything else. I was in the study for six months.

  11. I had the gastric bypass and you know what? If someone really, really, really wants to overeat, they will. And when the mechanism that helps (this sprinkle, the bypass, hpynosis, a "diet" is stopped, the weight comes back.. that is why it has to be a lifestyle change that one can live with... my opinion, of course) That is why I started the suppor thread, because sometimes making changes is hard and for me, the more people rooting for me and the more I root for, the better off I am.

And yes, the bypass cannot be stopped, unless it's reversed, which is very rare, but, it can be learned how to "eat around" the pouch (what the stomach is now called). My stomach was operated on, not my head. And I know that there are MANY, MANY, MANY people who have had incredible results. Mine was a failure because I am a food addict. Plain and simple. Food is my drug of choice.

  12. Interesting indeed. For $4.95 shipping and handling they'll send you a free 2 month supply. I don't understand how one can lose that much weight though without exercise. I honestly cut most of my eating portions waaaaay back after my heart attack and only lost about 5 lbs. in 6 mos. =(

  13. There is always a catch.... Its not exactly 'free' ~ you just have 30 days to try it before they BILL you a whopping $89.95! Here's the info from the web site:

"You have a full 30 days to try your Sensa 2-Month Starter Kit. If you enjoy Sensa, do nothing. You'll be billed one low payment of $89.95 on 8/28/2009. That’s a 34% SAVINGS off the retail price.

Plus, you'll enjoy free enrollment in our Sensa AutoShip Delivery Service. You will automatically receive a fresh supply every 2 months so you never run out of Tastants. Plus you will lock in the low price of only $89.95 every 60 days, billed to your credit card, plus free shipping and handling. You save 23% on every shipment! If for any reason during the 30-day trial period you are dissatisfied with your Sensa 2-Month Starter Kit, simply return the products. Cancel at any time with no obligation."

Notice they don't really tell you how to return the product if you DON'T like it after your 30 day trial :-(

And I was going to give it a try, til I got to the page with this information.

  14. "I have indeed. I was in the testing group when they were developing it! Maybe it was just my brain "tricking" me but it actually worked for me."

If it was a proper double-blind study, how do you know that you weren't the control group taking placebo?
