   EBL is nuts!!!!

   When I cam ein today, she pulled me aside to tell me something. She spoke to GG's mother (!!!!!!) and told her how WNBG wants to get rid of me. She explained how this weird lady was here on Monday and is going to be at the front desk trying to sell and will probably eventually take over my and the other front desk lady's job. She asked her to please help out and send BB an email telling him that a friend of her's came in on Monday when this lady was here and was totally put off.
   EBL happened to walk into BB's office when he was reading the email and told her what it said. Basically GGM (mom) told him that a friend of her's came in Monday night and that I was very nice to her but the new lady was not, so she walked out. She then told BB how wonderful I am and how her family enjoys coming here and how I'm the "face of the gym".

   While it was sweet of her to help out (I've only met her once or twice), no woman cam in on Monday and now I'm nervous what's going to happen next!!! When I mentioned it to EBL, she told me to stick to the story. She somehow seems to think a woman came in on Monday and was put off by new sales lady. Some guys came in and were offended, but no ladies that I can think of. Arrrrgh!!!!!

   EBL says BB didn't listen when she was standing up for the other front desk girl and me, so that's why we had to do this and stick together to get rid of WNGB and his people.

   I'm so confused now as to what to do next!!!!!!!

   Wow GD....This really is craziness isn't it? I don't know what to tell you....but somehow I fear the lie will come out when WNGB discovers there wasn't a woman in that night at all! What a mess! If I were you, I'd say as little as possible. I hope EBL isn't making things worse than they already were by involving you in a lie. =(

   I'll try! This is just all so weird!!! Now I'll have to lie - and what happens when BB asks NSL (new seller lady) about it and she claims there was no lady??? GG's family are long-standing members here so BB will listen to them. I just can't believe EBL made them lie, too!!!

   I'm trying to just not say anything. Noone has asked me anything yet - we'll see what happens.
   Maybe I should quit both jobs and write an expose about working at a gym???

   That'd be nice, Karen!
   WNBG is hanging around tonight and keeps coming out and wanting something. EBL has told me to help him and WSL out as little as possible because she wants them to fail. I can't stand WNBG after reading the email he sent BB and EBL about me the other day - grrrrr!

   I'm waiting for GG and co. to come in tonight. EBL told me she'd asked GGM to not tell anyone what she did so she says she doesn't think she told her "boys". I bet she did, and am waiting to see how many questions I'll get tonight!

   Oh - and EBL told me I should look up GGM's phone number and call and thank her for what she did for me! I don't think I will!

    Yep!
    GG is Gym Guy aka the gy that I like
    BB is Big Boss - owner of the gym and EBL's brother
    GGM is Gym Guy's Mother
    WNBG is Weird New Boss Guy who's on trial here for 2 months trying to turn the gym around - and failing and blaming it on me and the other front desk girl.

    She most definitely is, MC!!!!!

    No sign of the GG family tonight and usually all three guys come on Wednesdays. Maybe EBL has scared them off?

    It puts me in a weird situation with GG to have my boss ask his mother to send her brother and our boss an email and lie to save my job!!

    I see what you're saying GD with the awkwardness if GG's mom told him what was going on. Well...he has to know that it was EBL who put her up to it....not you. =( I'm very happy though that GGM cares enough for you to defend you to BB. That's very nice since the family has been loyal long time customers. =)

    It WAS very nice of her!

    No GG tonight - I texted him and they're all at a baseball game. He texted me back that his mom wrote BB an email telling him how rude and obnoxious NSL was on Monday and that she also told him how great I am!
    So he does know! I texted him back that his mom rocks and to please think her for me.

    By the way, GG had offered on Monday to tell BB how great I am and that NSG is obnoxious. I had told him I might take him up on that, but I guess it was taken out of my hands....

    EBL told me to think of others I can get to complain about NSG and sing my praises.

    GD, this whole thing is starting (?) to sound like jr. high school, with people doing stuff and telling other people not to tell - ick! And there are *way* too many cooks in the kitchen, if you see what I mean.

    I hope you find a way to get out of there SOON (like yesterday)

    By the way - EBL isn't doing this because she's being a great employer or a great friend of mine. She's doing this soloely to save herself. She knows if WNBG takes over, eventually she'll be out herself.

    It's been a couple of weeks since we went out and we've been texting over the weekends and everything, just not getting together. I'm trying to not get frustrated, especially since he and his family is helping me out with all this. Anyway, I'm worried if I quit the gym, I'll never see him.... :(

    Very entertaining, isn't it, KM? I can't believe the things that go on here - sometimes I have to try hard not to start laughing at the sheer insanity of it all!

    You said in an earlier thread that WNBG was torked about email address collections not being done, but that you had them in a separate file.
    Why not prepare a neutral sounding "Customer Satisfaction Survey" to be emailed to all clients and present it to EBL for "tweaking and approval"?

    That way you are not embroiled in a secret cabal and have CYA in place.

    Hmmmm, that's a good idea. And actually it shouldn't need any tweakingg The customers do like me and the ones who came in on Monday did not seem to like New Seller Girl.

    BB's neighbor came in last night. He's a great guy and he hadn't been in in a while. I told him a bit of wht's going on and he told me he'd mention to BB how much he enjoys coming in at night when I'm working.

    At least today's Thursday and WNBG isn't coming in. Maybe GG will come since he didn't last night :)

    GD, maybe it is time you asked GG out? Or at least offered to take his mom out for a coffee to thank her for the help. Gym Drama has become my favorite soap opera! It could be the next big reality show!
