  1. My 13 year old niece told me last night that they are having to move and she might not be able to keep her kitty. I wish everyone would pray that they find a home that she can keep her cat--

  2. I do hope this is not one of those "Cats are attached to places not people and cannot be moved" old wives tales. Other than moving to a no pets rental, there should be no bar to her keeping kitty. Even then I do not understand applying to a no pets residence when there is a pet in the family.

Best of luck to your neice.

  3. I'm sorry that your niece is having to move and may not be able to keep her kitty. Praying that they find the right place to take the kitty with them. If not....I pray she finds a wonderful furever home for kitty.

  4. i agree with you AM. there are plenty of places where one can keep a kitty or a small dog. i got to keep both my kitties for an additional $100 security deposit. my kitties do not have to "pay rent" either... but then my 26 years at one place of employment speaks for itself...

  5. I agree with both of you and I would never move to a place pets weren't welcome. Unfortunately I think money is the major reason they have to move and I don't know the story can only make educated guesses. The situation is out of my niece's area of control and also out of mine. I'll see what I can do to help if needed but thought that prayer before anything happens would be a good start.

  6. Prayers coming so that this will turn out well, even if she cannot keep the kitty, that they are able to find another loving home .

  8. Well, that is kind of how I ended up with Gem, so hopefully if she has to give up her kitty then they can find a good home.

  9. A suggestion: If the niece's doctor could write a note stating that keeping her cat is vital to her well-being, maybe even a 'no pets' place would accept the cat. After all, 13 is a hard age for anyone and being uprooted will make it harder. Add to that the uncertainty and distress of money problems in the family. Keeping her cat becomes a therapeutic issue.

  14. Prayers coming your niece's way!!! I'm praying that they don't have to give up the kitty. I'd rather sleep in my truck then give my babies up.

  16. Prayers coming. That pretty much sucks a sour pickle. Unfair at such a fragile age.
