Yes, it's a slow morning for me, too. But, the good news is that it's Friday and I have most of my work done (did it yesterday), so it should be a quiet day at work.

Hi Jcat!...... Abby "glued" herself to me yesturday, as soon as I got home.... I could barely get up to cook dinner, because my lap was constantly occupied (and didn't I love it!)...... Cuddles actually came down while Hubbs and I were watching TV last night, and "hung out" for about an hour..... she would alternatley rub up against my chair, and then go over and lay by Hubbs, purring at the top of her lungs.....
..... this morning, Cuddles left us a "welcome home yak up"....... right outside the bedroom door........ I guess she's saying "here's what I think of your trip"!....... LOL

Hello! Another night of not much sleep, sheesh. Good thing I'm on vacation as of 11:30 this morning. Not going anywhere, but the key here is not going to w**k for a week!
It's a super-rainy day here in Joisey...again.

*Queen waves to all newcomers*. I just read that our Prime Minister has just told all of us NZers to ask all our friends and family overseas to come visit our country (and get us out of recession, tee hee) so I'm doing my bit.... please come and see us down under, we'd love you to visit... And actually, we would!
I spent my afternoon cuddling the loveliest, floofiest long-haired little orangey kitten. He was a shy boy at first but I soon got some purrs out of him. He just came into the shelter today and I named him Orlando, after Orlando the marmalade cat in the books. I wrote it on his card but knowing the shelter, next time I go in, he will have been renamed something like Ginja...

Yes, plan is to bust my butt for 3 hours, go home, and take a nap, lulled by a soft rain outside (one of the things I like about rainy days!). I hope Leela will join me. After that I'll be refreshed and can play on TDK!
Oh! *Queen waves to all of you!* I will have to teach Leela the "Princess wave" - she's such a diva-in-training!Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

FFS, I have uncovered YET ANOTHER incident where my two bosses are not just not singing from the same hymn sheet, they're singing from completely different hymn books, so different in fact that one might even be the Koran...aarrgghh, guess who has to sort it all out???!!! :o(
Rant over, hello everybody!

YAY! Its FRIDAY! I finally get to finish my tests today! YAY! I go for the reminder this afternoon and then I am DONE! I pray that SM's daughter gets her situation resolved, that just makes me so mad. Such a good mom and daughter and then some poops have to go and ruin her senior year. Adults can be so stupid sometimes!

Morning/Afternoon to ALL! Glad your tests will be done today, MC and I hope all is well! I heard on the local weather yesterday that this July in WI has gone down in the books as having the lowest temperatures recorded!!! GRRRR, I say to that! I am coloring my hair and the timer will go off soon, so must away.....hope everyone has a super Friday!

Abs, I think an Orlando would be just what Cuddles & HRH need!!! You too, of course.

Yummy oatmeal with cinnamon, AV...thanks! Seems lately, I have been using alot of cinnamon...and it is good for you, too! I heard Dr. Oz say that Turmeric is SO healthy to use, but personally, I think it is rather nasty tasting....I have been trying to use it, but ugh.....I mix it with Italian seasoning, which does make it taste better! Any thoughts on Turmeric from anyone out there???

Morning all! TGIF and I am determined to have a good day today! Yesterday at the end of the day I got flowers delivered to me from Hubby. He had actually ordered them at 10 in the morning but the florist chose mine for last delivery...jerks! Anyway they are beautiful. I don't get flowers for valentines day, instead I get them when they matter most.
Katt, I love tumeric. It is good on baked chicken and turkey. When I bake a whole chicken or skin-on chicken breasts, I melt butter, add garlic salt (or garlic powder) tarragon and tumeric and then baste, baste, baste. It is wonderful and the drippings make a good gravy. I also add a dash of tumeric to the yolks when I am making deviled eggs. It makes them a brighter yellow. Tumeric is also known as poor man's saffron and can be added to rice dishes to give them that nice yellow color.

KK, I will have to keep trying to like the taste of tumeric! I think I do need to try mixing it with other spices....your baste sounds yummy....I saw a recipe for yellow rice which used tumeric. Dr. Oz claimed that turmeric has anti-cancer benefits....can actually reverse the cancer cells! Don't know if that is true, but when I do use it, I feel better :))))
