I now have ONE diagnosis: Large solid mass in my neck. YAY! How does this keep happening??? I still have more testing today so who knows what else they will find? I can't imagine a large mass in my neck would result in not being able to see in my right eye. AAAAAHHHHHHHH! I am so sick of all this! Continued prayers would be appreciated! Hugs to all of YOU!

There is a thyroid condition - I think it's hyPER thyroidism (ie too much) which can lead to a mass in the neck called a goitre (sp?) - does that help?

My step sister had a goiter remover the summer before her senior year. It was a fairly simple procedure. She does take medication for her thyroid. My prayer is that it is as simple for you. Has your doctor talked about a medical plan? You have been through too much and my prayer is this is resolved quickly and painlessly.

I have a goiter on my Thyroid. If I take the medication the goiter shrinks, when the thyroid gland has to work too hard the goiter grows. They can do surgery, that can result in the thyroid gland no longer working after surgery and then you still have to take a pill once a day. If you end up on thyroid meds make sure and ask about interactions! Iron supplements can interfere with thyroid medication and some cold medicines can as well. I have no idea which perscriptions might have interactions so make sure and ask.

Well I am FINALLY done with all the tests for now! YAY! Hopefully we can figure out why I couldn't see out my eye. Unfortunately when you start looking for stuff, you find it (the mass in my throat). Now I have to wait and see.

MC I am glad you found it now. Not that you have a mass, just that you found it. You need to know and get it taken care of before there is a problem with it. You have been so very brave. Take care of all you can before there is more of a problem--you are important to so many!

Hi gang. Ended up I had to call the doc to get the ball rolling! Where is the customer service in this world??? I have to go for more and more tests that I think I will just rent a room at the hospital! UGH! FF got the diagnosis of MS today from one doc and was started on meds. He is going to another neuro just for a second opinion. He was also diagnosed with Adult ADD. He is bummed out and said we should own the medical system soon! Amen to that!
