  5. What were you thinking?

  6. Ooooh!!! you forgot that cats are NOT dogs, and are most definitely not interested in dress-up! I couldn't even get santa hats to stay on mine for a holiday picture!!!

  7. Hey, watch that profiling. My little chihuahua hates wearing clothes as much as any cat.

  8. my mom's 2 now deceased kitties loved to dress up, and i thought cute outfit + beautiful kitty = even nicer looking kitty. at least i know better than to put perfume on them. i even buy the unscented litter...

  9. Sorry, but in my experience, especially here in NOLA where we have a dog parade at Mardi Gras where the dogs are all in costume, yours may be the exception that proves the rule... *wink*

  10. There might be some truth to that, NC. Cheri, you probably have to start dressing them as kittens then you might have a chance. My sister bought "pearl" collars for Spooky and Patches. They complained so much that I took them off and hid them so my sister couldn't put them back on them. She thinks to this day that the cats hid the collars. :D

  11. Velvet has a bright red collar with about 40 rhinestones on it. she also has an i.d. tag that is a large red metal heart with her name on it and my cell phone number. she likes it...

  12. lol...oiiiii

  13. So Velvet likes bling. I thought mine objected to the heavy pearls but I could have been wrong--might not have been shiny enough. Patches used to steal my earrings never to be seen again. Once I saw her carry a dime off. I just thought she was part pack rat--now I know she wanted bling

  14. ROFLMAO!!!!! Sorry Cheri.....I guess you never know til you try. Now you know! Hope Velvet didn't hurt you too badly. =)

  15. i'm thinking about getting her a black collar with the same amount of rhinestones on it. the black of the collar would fade into her black fur and she would look like she is wearing only rhinestones...

  16. That sounds really pretty Cheri....It would look awesome on a black cat!! =)

  17. there was an old star trek episode with a black cat with a rhinestone collar...

  19. Well Cheri you can always dress them in your imagination when they go to the roller rink.

  20. You are very brave, Cheri. I wouldn't even dare to try dressing the girls up. I do not have a death wish.

  21. i will do as SM suggested. Velvet did not break any of my skin, but she surely was p***ed...

  22. Is she speaking to you yet? or are you still getting the "look"?

Posted 2 years ago by Cat talk rules #

  23. LOL!..... Abby has a beautiful "Stravoske Crystal" collar.....light pink, with "irridescent" crystals..... its' really beautiful!... and she doesn't like it "tight".... she wears it like a necklace!..... so does Cuddles, her's is a tan colored leather, with little sterling "mouse" figurines in it!... she likes her's too!.... such DIVAs!

  24. i was forgiven hours ago when i shared my antipasto salad and pizza with her,,,

Posted 2 years ago by CSBM #

  25. i don't have to put a collar on Spice - she never ventures off the porch, and generally doesn't go past the door frame...and i can call her back and she will come without hesitation...

  26. Oh my Cheri, if I were you, I would beg for forgiveness. LOL

  27. Eggnog once let me put this pair of baby sunglasses on him I bought for my unborn niece at gymboree and take pictures. Cutest thing ever. I'll have to scrounge them up if I can find them.

  28. Sultie loved his bling :D. My dad used to say he was a bejewelled thug, he loved collars with sparkly bits on them. And from some of the scratches and marks on them when he came back sometimes they were useful too (he used to bring back ferrets and polecats sometimes; he didn't fight other cats, we know because there were no other cats in our area).

We wouldn't have dared clothing per say but we did make him a 'dressing gown' - it was made from towels sewn together and had a semi circle cut out for his tail. It lived on the radiator and then if he ever came in damp or cold, or when he asked for it, it was put on him to warm him up. He loved it and would take care to keep it on :D. It was basically like a horses' rug.

  30. My Gizmo would NEVER allow me to dress him....my daughter's cat, Mufasa, doesn't mind at all and he has a red and pink (!) sweater. He looks SO handsome in them :))
