  1. Hi PM! Enjoy the swimming! Won't the screaming scare Garbo and Hepburn?

Sounds like a nice way to spend the day, Joan. Have fun!

  2. They are out at the moment GD, so I'm all right.

  5. GD - yes Velvet has forgiven me. antipasto salag and pizza are 2 of her favorite foods, so i was immediately forgiven, and the dress has already been returned for store credit...

  6. She is fine going out, but she still needs a bit of encouragement to come back in. Because the flap is activated magnetically it "ticks" as the cats head approaches. Hepburn hears that and things someone is out to get her so she withdraws again. She needs someone on the inside calling her and distracting her from the sound. But she is definitely getting there. She has now used the flap to get in at least 4 times. She's just grateful that she can go in and out at will.

  10. Good Morning. I am procrastinating. I need to clean out the cupboard under the sink and I always dread it. Its never as bad as I think it will be. I've been laid off 2 weeks and I don't know where the time went. I have a whole list of projects I've barely started on and I go back to work in 2 weeks. :(

  12. Well done Hepburn - I hope Cuddles will remember how to use her "flap", cause we just installed one in the new house we're moving into......

.... Abby won't have any problems, she'll remember the one from the big house, and she also uses one in NC.......

.... it will just irritate Cuddles, but she'll have to get used to it again!... oh my that girl hates change!.....LOL

.... I just have to post this receipe for you guys.... it's from a friend of mine in NC. Her Hubbs and mine are big golf buds, and she brought this with her to a pot luck (impromptu) dinner I had when we were up here. It's an old family receipe, and I think it's one of the best potatoe salad I've had! Very different!.....she and her husband are literally from Russia.... they defected back in the early 80's..... he was a world class swimmer, and she was a dentist..... they came here with only the shirt on their backs... fascinating story, and wonderful people!..... he had to work delivering newspapers to put her back thru dental school, because the US wouldn't recognize the Russian degree!....... anyway, here's her recipe

    My Friend's

    RUSSIAN POTATOE SALAD

Potatoes diced small – 3 or 4 Idahos , cooked in salted water to just parboiled… don’t over cook
Finely chopped carrots – ¼ cup of the shredded kind, chopped
    2 hardboiled eggs chopped
Finely chopped ham – ½ cup
Petite green peas (frozen) – ½ cup
Finely chopped onion – ½ cup
Finely chopped dill pickels – ½ cup
Mayo & Sour cream – equal parts, I used ½ cup of each
Salt/pepper to taste – used ½ tsp. fresh ground pepper, didn’t add salt because ham is salty and potatoes were cook in salted water
Dot of mustard (can use dry) – ¼ to ½ tsp – I used the hot mustard w/horseradish
1 tsp. fresh dill finely chopped.

Mix all together, refrigerate at least an hour and serve!

  14. OOH AV! Sounds soooooooo good! Keeping that one!

  15. ... wow, Hubbs LOVED the potatoe salad!.... and he usually doesn't like potatoe salad!... it was a HIT!..... really interesting combo of flavors, and the fresh dill really added!.... (that was my spin on things!)

hope everyone is having a nice afternoon/evening.... Son is coming in tomorrow, he's speaking at a "young" political convention tomorrow at Fort De Sota (30 mins. from us)...... so we're all going to see him..... he really is a gifted orater!.......Daughter has 9 days left of summer quarter, and I've got to MOVE in less than 3 weeks!... YIKES!

  16. BTW, I used "fat free" sour cream, and "lot fat mayo in this receipe, and it still tasted great!.....doesn't have to be laden with gook to be tastey!

  17. Hi, AV, I checked out Cuddles photos a couple of days ago when you told me about them. She is a beauty. I have been a long time fan of hers and enjoy Cuddles stories both the real and the party ones. It sounds like you have a lot going on. I feel like I'm moving or something as my house is torn apart for various reasons and I am slowly trying to get it organized.

  18. Hello guys! I'm new to this. Is this like a roleplaying chat cafe?

Posted 7 months ago by Sinspearian #

  19. LOL CTR!.... trying to get "moving" in this "organized" mess is my main focus right now!... I can totally relate!...

... Hi SP and Welcome to TDK.... we sometimes "role play" if we're having a "roller rink" or a "party"..... we give our kittehs' our "hooman" interpertation of their personalities!... it's loads of fun.... other than that, our chats are pretty much our real personalities!... there are so many warm, witty and friendly people here, as you get to know us, you'll find us open and welcoming......

... we love to talk about our "everyday" lives, we celebrate, laugh, cry, support and morn with each other........ TDK truly is like a "family"!.....
