Please Keep My Sister in Your Thought s and Prayers Today

  1. This morning, my sister called me and was hysterical. When she got up this morning, her favorite cat Chloe was lying unresponsive on the rug. She and her husband rushed to the emergency vet and were told that it was most likely some kind of fast-growing tumor in her head. Her heart was barely beating and they had to put her to sleep. She was only 9 years old and was one of those cats who are very devoted to their owner and always greeting at the door and "talking." Today is my sister's 40th birthday. :-( Two years ago, they came downstairs to find thier dog passed away on the floor on her husband's 40th birthday. Almost unbelievable.

  3. Oh, I'm so sorry, CW! How awful for them and how sad that they will always associate these events with their birthdays. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers. Poor little Chloe!

  4. She was a little 9 year old long-haired calico. Not that this makes a difference, but she was so beautiful! Her littermate Sebastian is a long-haired tuxie. They were both rescues.

  7. Oh CW! How sad! My heart breaks for them both! What a horrible way to find out that your kitty is sick. And to have lost a dog on your brother in law's 40th as well. My goodness, one has to wonder why God called them both home on 40th birthdays! Praying for you, your sister and BIL. May Chloe rest in peace.

  10. {{{CW, Sister and Brother in law}}}, I am so sorry about Chloe, it must have been so shocking to lose her so fast and unexepectedly and on her 40th birthday. It's just eerie that their dog passed on her husband's 40th also. I will keep them in my prayers...RIP Chloe.

  22. Thank you all so much for your prayers and good thoughts! I was not able to log on until I got in late tonight. I spoke to my sister late this afternoon and she sounded much better. It could only have been your prayers that accomplished this. I'm going to copy this thread and email it to her.
