my cat had kittens 2 days ago and the runt just wont latch on, i have put it on the teat but no luck can someone plz help me i dont wanna lose the little kitty ...Thnx Mystic

Sometimes mother cats reject kittens. This is especially true of runts. They put their energy into rearing the ones that look like they are going to thrive. I suggest that you buy some Kitten Replacement Milk (KMR) and a bottle at a pet store and hand feed this little kitten. Be careful to keep the kitten stomach down so it doesn't aspirate milk into its lungs. You should watch carefully to make sure this kitten doesn't get dehydrated. Dehydrated kittens go downhill quickly.
Do you have a vet you use? A call to the vet would be reassuring and you can set up a time line for bringing mom and her litter in to be checked out. I hope you will consider getting momcat spayed once she has weaned her kittens. She will probably go right back into heat and produce another litter if you don't.
