  1. As I didn't have any good clear photo's or video's of her I decided to make this one - as it might be my last chance to get one of her.

Thank you to those who are sending their thoughts out for Missy, I appreciate it so much and I am grateful, especially because you hardly know me and have made such a effort to support me - {{{hugs}}} for all!

  2. Missy is such a sweet little girl. The video breaks my heart as you sound so forlorn and sad. I'm praying you'll have a strong and hopeful heart. A positive energy coming from you should give her strength. Please don't give up on her as she can really use your power of positivity. Many prayers coming your way for both Missy and her mum & dad!

  3. I'm getting more positive - especially compared to earlier. I was holding her and she squirmed a couple of times. The reason I was holding her is I think the hot water bottle warmed her up too much as she manage to drag the top half of her body off of it! She is such a little fighter - I'm so proud of her!! Thank you for your support <3

  6. Ohhh, I could not watch the whole video because my vision was cloudy very quickly. Blessings to you for loving and helping Missy. Special prayers to St Francis to please allow her to recover.
Is she eating at all? If not might she benefit from fluids at the vet until the antibiotics kick in? Did the vet have any thoughts?
    Many many prayers.
My other thought , is to keep a close eye on her brother...maybe have the vet check him out also...if it's an infection, they may have both been exposed....don't
want to scare you, maybe it's best to be extra cautious.
    Hugs

  8. Thanks Tigerlilly <3. She keeps pushing the bottle away, she refuse's to have it. The Vet injected her with some sort of fluids because she was a little dehydrated from refusing her last few feeds. I asked the Vet to look at her brother and he picked him up and said 'No no, I wont bother to stress him out' and gave him back to us. I am keeping a VERY close eye on Binx and measuring how much he is having in each feed - he still seems lively and still has a appetite but its hard to tell as his appetite does vary throughout the day. I didn't like the vet we had at all, and it felt I was doing his job for him.
When we was in the waiting room, Missy was curling up and getting a little stiff and Luke said 'I think we're losing her Jade' and I replied loudly for the receptionist to hear 'Well if someone bloody pulled a finger out she might survive!' The receptionist then called this vet out. it seemed he was rushing to get back to his dinner and didn't care for her much - and even though I asked for the antibiotics and asked him 'Could these make her better?' he replied 'Yes it might help' he still kept mentioning putting her down. He was so arrogant!

  10. Oh my, SP, seesm to me if you have to return, you need to go to someone else.
I am glad that she got subcutaneous fluids today as that should keep her hydrated at least for today.
In the meantime, maybe you can ask around for a good vet reference. You can always call no kill shelters, they may be a good resource.
Can't help but wonder if she is not really better in a few hours, might she be better off hospitalized where she can be watched really closely. I also would inquire whether it may be worth treating the boy. Sorry, I am such a worrier.

  11. I know what you mean, I would have preferred them to keep her and get her better for me - because this way, if something drastically changes we will be losing time rushing her back and waiting for the vet. But he really wanted to put her down and told us if she doesn't get better during this evening - or if she gets worse - we should think about putting her to sleep. Every other sentence was him reminding us of this option - It broke my spirit.

  12. That is a vet I would never return to...just my 2 cents worth.
