   My husband is currently unemployed and is having a rough time finding work. Our financial support system (my family, and I thank them a hundred times over) has been tapped out of the help they are able to give. I would love to work as well, but currant situations in the care for our children makes that impossible at this time.

   We are looking into help from the State. But sometimes that, too, can be hard to come by.

   Please keep us in your hearts and minds while we try to keep our family going and keep our home.

   SF, these are such difficult times in our country right now. You will certainly be in my prayers and I hope that you all can find the assistance that you need. I hope that you have found some help in navigating the maze of trying to find programs for which you might be qualified.

   Snowflower, I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time of it. I hope your husband manages to find work soon. You say you can't work because of child care issues, but might it be easier for you to find work and your husband to be the stay at home parent for a while? Sorry if I'm sticking my nose in, you've probably already thought of that.

   I had thought the same thing as MCW. Perhaps this is the time for you to work and he could stay home. Sometimes it works out that way. It is difficult to find a job right now, that is for sure! My prayers are with you and your family as you look for the perfect position. My you be blessed with the perfect job.

   SF, it really is difficult to figure out the "system" isn't it? Praying that you and your hubby get back on track soon! We can't give you a job but we sure can give you prayers and support here! I know what it is like to be in a rough "patch". After a car accident 13 years ago I found myself unemployed and too proud to go home. I stuck it out and held my head high as I had to ask the state for help. At the time I was embarrassed but look back on how strong I was and how strong that made me. Will pray long and hard for you and your family! Please hang in there and come back often to just visit or ask any questions! There are a lot of smart people around these parts!

    You might want to check out the USAJobs website. It is the Federal Government clearing house for all openings in the government all across the United States. You can search by location or interest, then apply online. Best of luck to you and your husband.
