  2. I had a super busy day at work, came home and had crockpot beef stew for dinner and a small bowl of very yummy strawberry ice cream for dessert. Hubby had a whacko day, so we're probably headed for bed soon.

Have a good night, all. MC, more hugs for you and FF

  5. I'll have some ginger tea and a purring kitty, please. I'm exhausted, just constant going (as many of you do, too, i know...smile). After tea i'm on my way to bed (new pillows... should be a great night sleep or a nightmare!). Goodnight my friends.

  6. I was at Target on Friday and almost bought a crock pot but then decided I didn't need it after all. I think I might have been wrong on that one.

  7. SMM, there is always SOMETHING you can make in a crockpot. My favorite thing to cook in!

  8. .... had a nice dinner, now going down to read and watch a show with Hubbs!... wishing everyone a nice evening... will try and check back later!.....

  9. Pizza sounds yummy! Hubby and I went out and played miniature golf this afternoon, bought some corn, peaches and blueberries. Had leftover Latin take-out; pierogies & kielbasa, chicken & rice, and mac & cheese - all with a distinct taste. We hung stuff on the walls today so the place is looking better.

  10. Yes, that is what I thought, MC. So I am probably going to go back and purchase one. They were from around $24 on up to around $59 if you got the digital one. We had a crock pot when I was a teenager and once a week it was my turn to make dinner. This was my step-mom's way of helping us learn to cook. I can recall how convenient it was to make either a chicken or a beef stew type of dish in the crock pot by putting all the ingredients in and turning it on low and coming home to a wonderful smell.

Enjoy your show, AV. Minature golf can be so much fun, Joan. I haven't played it in a long time. I think the last time was in my late 20's and I was with a group and we were all a bit sloshed on beer if you know what I mean.

  11. I love my crock pot!
Even though we're not away, hubby and I try to do stuff we don't normally do except on vacation :)
Since our upstairs is still new to us, and our lake community is vacation-like, we're enjoying sitting upstairs, with the added bonus of Leela!

  12. SMM, Sam's Club had some really nice ones for good prices last time I was there!.... and my family LOVES mini golf - it's the one chance the kids and I have to "beat" Hubbs (he's a 1 handicapper in REAL golf) LOL!.....

only 3 chores done today - cleaning the bathtub, cleaning out the cat boxes, and taking out the garbage...

Posted 2 years ago by CSBM #

  14. three chores, of which needed to be done in my house, but of which ZERO were accomplished!(cursed Hazel for not showing)..... way too much paperwork!......

..... would you like to borrow Abby for a while?.... I cannot sit down for a second, that she doesn't DEMAND my lap!..... I could hardly read earlier because she kept head bonking the book out of the way, so she could "nestle" in my lap!......

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  17. LOL! Did Mr. WWM take you there in your bike sidecar?.... and how many martinis did you have on the way home?....*snert*

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  18. Just put a corned beef(corned silverside) on to simmer for a few hours for dinner. KK has just told me she just felt an earthquake, we're waiting to see what size it is. It's a beautiful Spring like day here.

  19. Oh goody, WWM - squish-squish! :)
Do they have the new digital ones by you? Apparently the latest and greatest...

Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  20. He would have taken me in the sidecar but I thought that he might feel odd hanging around with all of those fidgeting females! And I should have stopped for a martini on the way home!!!! It's not enough that I have this scraped up knee but now I'm all purple and green colored!!!! WHO thought of that torture machine anyway??? And HOW did they come up with those impossible positions?????

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  21. MS hope your daughter is safe! Crossing paws. Gonna go snuggle my girls. OOH, did I mention I found a dead mouse in my basement when I came home from jury duty???? Then I hear from FF he got his MS diagnosis along with adult ADD. He is going for a second opinion though. Time to rest after a day like this!

  22. Mammo's had to be invented by MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  23. .... now talk about corned beef!.... that just SCREAMS for the horseradish mustard!!!......

... can you start nailing things down quickly MS?.... hoping it's a mild one!....

    .......ouch!... flat boobs!......

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  24. you know what else was invented by men ( appologizes to our male friends on this site ).... THOSE STUPID RACE CAR SHOPPING CARTS that you find in the grocery store - you know the ones, where there's this "Disney" looking race car or school bus or such in the front, then a regular shopping car hooked to it.... it's twice the size of a regular cart, and IMPOSSIBLE to manuver, takes up the entire isle, not to mention, CANNOT turn a corner.... slows everyone down!!!..... must have been the same GUY that came up with the "minature" carts a few years back.... WHAT WAS he thinking (ok, he wasn't).... little kids running all over the store, bashing into everyone and everything because Mom can't control them...... THANK GOODNESS they did away with those!.....

.... I've always said, just let DAD go shopping one day with them..... there would be a whole lot of "new" carts invented!.....

  25. Well gang, I think that I am taking all my scrapes and bruises and heading off to read for a while and then an early bedtime. Such an exciting day! *blah*

    Have a great evening, Everyone!

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  26. ...WWM, rub some vitamin E into those bruises (after a long soaking bath).... you'll feel (and look) better! Night!

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  27. It was KK further south from me. Maybe Jcat felt it too. 4.2 quake. Mmmmm, horseradish, I'm going to buy some before dinner AV.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  28. arnica would help with the bruising too Wmm. I'm sure hubby would help apply it.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  29. Evening all. I was just thinking of an ice cold Coke over crushed ice--wonder if it contains the purest of ingredients???

WWM remember it may hurt for today, but if you didn't and something was there....the outcome could be wicked. I hate going, but since breast cancer runs in the family I love boob squash day! Much more appealing than the alternative.
