  1. Oh No! No cafe has been started. I rush in with the kittehs and reassure them we can do this! We have Cracker Barrel catering today since it is too late to start cooking. Come on in, order what you fancy, and enjoy! Hope you have a great day!

  2. MC good morning! I am off to work!!!! I love my job more than I can ever tell anyone and today is the first day kids will be in the building!!! It is the beginning of registration! The day I love and the day they hate! The official end of my summer!

  3. Afternoon! May I have a cake of some sort? With lots of white chocolate! Hope you are all well today, and the day is going good for you - although it must be quite early where you are.

  5. Hello, hello, and hello! Mmmmmmm, choclate... :o)

Will be in and out this afternoon, it's quietish at work (first time since April), I can actually see the bottom of my inbox!!

  6. Found a second to pop in before I switch desks and the madhouse begins (Tuesdays are my crazy days, in a good "doing the part of my job I love the most" kind of way).

Hurrah for spotting the bottom of the evil inbox, MCW. Oh, and I was just thinking, this stupid headache might be a good thing, because if it runs its course now it should, with luck, be gone by the time you get here. Which is, drumroll please, LESS THAN ONE MONTH FROM NOW!!!!! Wheeee! That thought will brighten up any day. Except now I have to start some serious planning (eep!). And vacuuming :)

  7. In one's month's time I will be in the good 'ol US of A!!!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!

Kilroy, seriously, don't worry about the vacuuming. Honestly. You should see my house...

  10. Oh blimey don't mention cleaning I've got to battle it also today lol. Its quite hard when kittens are swinging from your trouser thigh. I have chocolate Fingers and Fig rolls here, must resist lol!

  11. I'll have biscuits and gravy to start my day. Good morning, everyone. Waiting for my work to come in. It's very humid here today. We haven't seen this type of humidity for over a month. Our July was the coolest month in our records.

  12. Try having three, full size, moulting little buggers!!!! Especially Eric, he has very short, very dense (bit like him really, lol) fur, which defies the Dyson and has to be scraped up with a carpet scraper!!!!!

SM, I have been to the States before - a couple of times, but only as a child, and the last time was when I was 8, so I don't remember very much. I'm SOOOO looking forward to this trip :o)

  13. Hello all! KH, give jroc a big hug from little sis.
Still trying to figure out how to get in on the NYC meet and still keep my job and sanity.
Working around the house this morning; hopefully lounge by the pool this afternoon. Have to log into my work email to clean out all the spam. Even with the firewall, I get close to 100 junk emails a day.

  14. Lol I thought the Dyson didn't lose suction - not even a sausage? PAH false advertising lol! And the cats have put it to the test. That should be the major test before releasing it for sale - moulting kitties.

  15. Tuesday Greetings from the Midwest! Finally an 80 muggy Milwaukee day...what we are known for! Summer in the city...good swimming weather unless you have a day job! My kits were huggly this A.M. wanted pats and not just treats! I need a large cup of java quick and then I promise to start the work day! Hope all enjoy their day/eve.

  16. Joan, if you get a minute shoot me an e-mail and let me know what your schedule looks like for the days MCW is here; we might be able to cobble together a couple of meetups if everyone can't get together at the same time. I would love to finally meet you.

  17. *hopping up and down with excitement*

Sinspearian, the Dyson is very good, more than worth its money, but Eric's fur seems to cling to every carpet fibre for dear life, shrieking "noooooo, you'll never take me alive..." :o)

  18. Someone likes her Dyson lol! I prefer my hoover little Henry *chuckle* Although hoovering isn't so bad in my place all wooden floor boards, yes I'm a lazy cheater!

  19. Happy Tuesday everyone! I finished up another one of my classes last week, today is a final in my 4th summer class, and my 5th one ends in two weeks! So glad it's finally winding down. Got away to the beach last weekend to visit my parents who were staying there so that was nice. I also saw the last harry potter movie! Today is a big study day before the final and then I have my other class tonight at 8. Hope all is well with everyone!

  20. Morning everyone!!!! Lets kick this cafe into celebration mode!!!!! I just got back from the retinal specialist and I have deposits on my macula which are apparently very common. No holes, no leaks, no degeneration!!!!! Whoopie! Pop the champagne! Because of my family history, I went in fearing the worst. I do have to take eye specific vitamins and eat my leafy greens in abundance for the rest of my life to stave off the eventual degeneration of my maculas for as long as I can. Hopefully in the next 30 years there will be marked improvements in what medical science can do!

  21. Thank goodness for good news, KYK! Eyes are so very important, the idea of anything happening to them is scary indeed.

(Kilroy pops the champagne and passes KYK a large glass)
