  1. Just peeking in during lunch...congrats KK...pass me a tall glass of champagne
for a toast to KK's eye health!

  2. I am seeing the world anew! Ok, so right now it is still fuzzy from my eyes being all dialated. I have emailed all of my siblings, neices and nephews and will share with all of you all.

For the health of your eyes: 1. If you smoke, quit now. Smokers have a much higher chance of macular degeneration. 2. Take vitamins with Lutein in them. I am to take 1 eye vitamin and 1 multi a day. 3. Eat your leafy greens, berries and carrots.

  3. Kykat, that is wonderful news! I will have a virtual glass in your honor. I always say that if I have to lose one of my senses, that if it were a toss up, I would prefer losing my hearing over losing my eyes.

I just got really great news this morning. We are getting bonuses at my work! Although we didn't meet our revenue target, we did end the year on a positive. Whoohoo! So in light of all I have been through at work and home life, this was really something to brighten my day!! If we receive it in our next paycheck, I will have a little extra something to take to Vegas to play on the slot machines (really small amount of course that will be gone within 10 minutes probably unless I manage to win something). I need to go buy some new cat toys or maybe I might buy that new cat condo on Ebay that I have been wanting to get for my kitties. Of course I won't spend it all.

  4. SMM that is great news!!!!! Instead of the slots, is it enough to go see a show? I never have any luck on the slots. My goal is to see how long it lasts! Hubby plays black jack, but I used to deal blackjack for Monte Carlo nights and that has permanently cured me from gambling on cards. The house always wins in the end!

Are you going to be able to get in the interwebs while you are in Vegas? You need to take us along with you!

  9. Kykat, the one time I played the Black Jack table was when I was visiting South Lake Tahoe/Stateline area where they have hotels and gambling. I sat down and played two hands and won $10 (was a $1 hand table). I walked away as soon as I had that money and went to play the slot machine and it was gone in two shakes of a cat's tail or a blink of an eye. There is enough to go to a show but all depends on if anyone I know will be going to one. Most of the shows cost over a $100. There is Bette Midler, Santana, Elton John, Cher, Donny and Marie and of course the Cirque du Soleil shows. There is even something call Menopause the Musical. Oh my!! I just checked out Bette Midler's show...it is at 7:30pm which is fine but the minimum ticket is $117 and goes all the way up to the best seats at $272, holy cow!

  10. SMM! I love Vegas... I play roulette..... I can play all night with $50.... it' so much fun!...... in June when we were in the Dominican, I came home up $300, with playing my same $50 each night!.....

I feel like I'm feeding a cash cow when I play slots! and he's hungary!!! LOL.... however, MIL loves them, and will sit at that "wheel of fortune" machine for hours, playing on $10!......

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!, and btw - our family loves the magic shows! they are awesome!

  11. You are going to have such fun, SMM!!!! I've never been to Vegas but I saw Rainman - does that count?

And how on earth could you pass up a show called Menopause the Musical?????

  12. WWM, after reading the synopsys, I think I can pass it up. Now Rita Rudner would be fun. She is almost completely sold out so she has to be good. Only nights available while I am there are Monday (night I arrive so no good) and Wednesday night at 8:30pm which would work. I have a feeling I am going to be too tired to go though. I recall last year feeling so wiped out by Wednesday what with being in meetings all day. They have our agenda jammed packed this year.

  13. I've always wanted to see a Cirque du Soleil show. I've only seen them on television but they are amazing.

  15. ...well, I GOT THE JOB!..... (if I want to take it!)..... I was made the offer, at the compensation I was wanting (I held out)..... and I told them I will let them know tomorrow......

.....I'm not thrilled about going back to work, but at this level, I could pay the bills, cover deficits, and hold on to our assets until things "turn" around in the market.......this would take a HUGE LOAD OFF MY MIND!......

thanks to everyone for all the prayers and white lights!.... God definitely works in mysterious ways!.......
