I see that we don't have a NS tonite so I am gonna get it started up. We are having a bbq tonite with all the fixin's. We have grilled veggies, potato salad, macaroni salad, pasta salad and fruits. We have a full stocked bar with alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. What is your fancy?

The UTI seems to have triggered her MRSA. She is doing okay. The doctor is watching her weekly. She is on an antibiotic cocktail of sorts and steriods. Right now she had her eyes dialated at her evening break, so she looks like she is stoned! But the good news is she loves her contacts and she was approved for her loan for a car. We have been looking for a simple used car that she can afford. We hope by this weekend she will have a vehicle.

Popping in to say "hi"!... Hubbs took me out to "a celebration" dinner for me getting an new job!.....one of our famous "local" restaurants, "Berns"..... it's one of a kind, older than He}} and the interior looks to me like "the Disney Haunted Mansion".... (Dee can attest to that!)..... red velvet wallpaper, gold gilt mirrors and all!..... but if you go to their lounge, you can truly get amazing food and wine, and well, it's a real treat!.... had a wonderful time!......*sighs*..... do I HAVE to go to work tomorrow?

AV, I just saw that you got the job! Whoohoo!! Congratulations! That is fantastic and at the compensation you wanted. That is so great! Have a glass of champagne (make it the good stuff too) to celebrate! It is so nice when things work out economically and releases the pressure you were feeling. Sweet dreams.

Thanks SMM!.... I was really determined, that if I was going to take this job, it would be one that paid me what I am worth!.... so many people (men and women) are afraid to ask for the salary they want/need, but if you've had 25 years of successful experience, YOU SHOULD BE PAID FOR IT!........

So AV when does the new job start? Also, since you are working, will hubby become a house husband? Ha ha! I know he will be running your other business. I have always asked for what I feel I am worth but the companies I have worked for always underpaid and would say you will make it up in your bonus. In my present job I was assured that in good times bonuses can be as much as 15%. This year, mine was 8% so I am not quibbling.

It's been 3 hours since the last post so I'm guessing most people are tucked up in their beds(US) or out at work(UK). I'm heading off to bed now to curl up with my trusty hot water bottle.
It's 110.45pm NZ time, ...the night is chilly in NZ and cool to d**n hot in USA ..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes gratis AZDEBRA, LV , & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...
check - turns fountains off
check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Boxcheck - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.
Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light,healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<

Peeking in, sees that the room is quiet and all that can be heard is the whooshing of the ceiling fans, soft snoring coming from oh so many nooks and crannies from snoozing kittehs....actually slept a bit tonight in my COOL house since the a/c is working properly for the first time in 3.5 years :)

..... tiptoes quietly in and *waves* to Deb..... "no one else awake yet?*.... I slept like a baby last night, I guess the stress level is somewhat reduced, knowing I got the job I was interviewing for......I start Sept. 1... until then I have 10 GABILLION things to get wrapped up!!!

Thanks! I didn't intend to go back into the workforce fullforce, but this economy has changed everything for many...... I feel blessed to have this opportunity, intend to take full advantage of it.... besides, it's what I've done for the past 20 years, and I love challanges and expressing my talents..... kinda feel revitalized!.....
