  1. Break a leg at your job today AV, we are all rooting for you! Opening the cafe to find sleepy kittehs. They are once again too sleepy to cook so I am having Panera cater the cafe today. Please enjoy some pasteries and coffee or juices. Kittehs are gonna cut up some fresh fruit to begin the day! Happy Wednesday!

Hello!!!! Good Morning to everyone! I got sleep last night!!! Close to 8 hours!!!
I did wake up at 1:30am to check on Abbie to make sure she was still breathing..lol...she didn't want to sleep again last night, so I let her cry it out. I hate that...hate it hate it but I sat in her room in the rocker, with a book, she can't see me due to the bumper in her crib and I could hear if she was okay and peek to check on her. Finally she gave up and fell asleep. She needed a good night sleep as well as I did. Once she fell asleep, I haven't heard a peep out of her..I mean not a sound! I just feel great today with sleep :)
Yesterday at midnight was the last day of voting for Abbie, I hope she wins :)
Congrats AV!!! I knew you had the job but just didn't post. So happy for you.

  6. As long as Panera is catering, I will have one of those souffle things (the one with bacon). Yumm. Go get 'em, AV!

  7. Good morning all! Just had to stop in for a second and say HOWDY!! I guess I'll have to catch up on the posts, I didn't know you had a new job AV...but best of luck, I'm sure you will do great! I'm glad you got some sleep CM, it's amazing how much better you feel after even one good night of rest. I actually have never been to Panera, but I hear it's good so I'll take one of everything! I did my hour (and then some) of walking this AM ;o) I need to get to work now so I'll catch up with you all later on, have a great day!

  8. Good morning, all! I composed a lovely post just before I left for work and then my browser crashed and ate the whole thing! Phoo!

Oh well, there are more nice people here now anyway :) Hurrah for Abbie sleeping through the night! I so hope she wins the contest, CM. How can she not? After all, she's the Cutest Baby in the Universe :) (you really should trademark that).

Good luck today, AV! You will do great! MC, I'm crossing my fingers for your appt that you get some useful answers.

I had good intentions of going to the gym this morning, but woke up with my stupid head killing me (why I thought it would magically feel better overnight, I don't know. Stupid thing usually hurts for at least a couple of weeks when it gets bad). So, no gym today and now I feel like a wimp.

Hope everyone has a good day.

  10. Morning all. Yea for sleep, CM. I slept like a baby last night myself! A nice change from the night before. I could some sausage and over-medium eggs with toast. Been a busy morning, but that is a good thing!

My part of Kentucky didn't get the horrible rain. We just got normal rain, but friends and family in Louisville got affected. I hope Elizabeth is ok. I think she is in Shelby County and that is next to Louisville. 6 inches in two hours is incredible. My friend Spangle called me and reported in that her basement was flooding. It took my sister forever to get home because of flooded streets.

  11. Hi Patti...So glad you're not affected but know that your family and friends are probably reeling from that storm. Is Elizabeth a TDK member? If so...what's her username? I recently lost my whole TDK christmas list when my computer took the final leap to a 'puter scrap pile'. Should have backed up my files...I knew I'd be sorry one day.

  12. Good morning all. I am feeling good after getting the good news about bonuses at work. After all that I have been going through at work and home life this was what I really needed ( what would be really great would be to win the lotto - I didn't win the Mega and it is now at $102 million and have to wait till tonight for the Calif Lotto).

The Panera in my area is gearing up to open soon as they put the now hiring sign about two weeks ago and am thinking they must be staffed up by now. If you go to the shopping center website they show hours now so hopefully they will be open soon. Open, open, open, open!

So I will have a nice denver omelette but make the peppers red, orange and yellow, a side of extra crispy bacon and a large mocha with some baileys and kahlua to give me a kick start. I slept like a kitten requiring scheduled feedings last night...went to bed at 9:30 and woke up every three hours for some strange reason so I do not feel rested like I should have. I will try again tonight. I scheduled an appt at a hair salon for Friday for a haircut and style (my hair is a mess since I haven't had it cut in a long time as I do my own bang trimming). They got good reviews on Yelp. I have my regular eye exam yearly checkup on Saturday morning (9:45am). They will dialate my eyes which means my eyes won't be normal till around 3pm so that means going home and eating lunch with all the blinds closed and then taking a nap. For some reason light colored eyes take longer for the dialate stuff to wear off.

  13. Hi all

oh that's wonderful about the bonus, SMM! hurray!

AV, back to work?! welllll, congrats?!

Yikes, KYKAT! That's scary! Glad you are ok!

Posted 2 years ago by linda #

  14. SMM, yeah I know all about eyes being dialated! My eyes weren't back to normal yesterday for hours! I worked all morning in sunglasses. Glad you can do your appointment on a Saturday and just go home. Be extra careful as you drive.

I have my fingers crossed for you on the lottery! If you win, fly me out to meet you!

  15. I've been gone all day and am just now finding a minute to peek in. And what do I find?????? Dee eating salt!

  17. Kykat, if I win, we will have a big TDK meetup. I purposely made my eye appt for Saturday and really wanted a late in the day appt but all they had was a 9:45am appt. It kind of ruins the day but need to get my eyes checked (make sure the scar on the macula hasn't changed in size) as well as get my glasses tighten (they slip off my nose too easily now) due to a less than straight nose. When I was around 6 or 7 yrs of age, we had these heavy duty ships beds (my dad's idea). There were four drawers on them and they were heavy and didn't pull out very well. One time my sister and I were in my bedroom and for some reason she decided to pull the drawer out and the corner hit me right on the bridge of my nose causing it to not grow straight. If I won the lotto, I would get rhinoplasty (nose job) to straighten it out. Of course I would also consider getting a neck lift, chest lift and reduction, tummy tuck and some lipo around the hips and rear end. If it were medically possible, I would have a complete body replacement. The body of a twenty-something with a high metabolism and petite body frame.

  18. SMM, I have had rhinoplasty to correct a deviated septum which was the result of a broken nose. Mine got broken when I was about 7 and a friend ran right into me by accident. Forehead to the nose...ouch! My mom never checked to see if it was broken she was concerned about getting the bleeding stopped. Because I was getting one sinus infection after another, my regular doctor, referred me to a surgeon and insurance paid for all except my co-pay. It is the best thing I have ever done for my health. Check your policy, it might cover it. My nose is straighter, I now know what it is like to really breathe and I have been healthier. It was done outpatient surgery and I was only off work for 1 day for the surgery because I had it on a Friday.

  19. Congrats, AV! I must have missed the thread, what job will you be doing, if you don't mind my asking? Good for you!!!

Posted 2 years ago by katthays #

  20. I missed that too, AV!

I have also had rhinoplasty because of a deviated septum. My sister pushed me down a flight of stairs when I was about two years old. I guess no one realized that my nose had been broken. I could never breath through my nose and I used to have these terrible nightmares of someone kidnapping me and tying something over my mouth and I wouldn't be able to breath. When Mr. WWM was in the Army I was at the hospital for yet another bout of strep throat and the doctor said that my septum was deviated and that's why I was always catching colds and stuff. I just thought that I had a very crooked nose! Anyway, they fixed it and apart from looking very much like a raccoon for several weeks, it wasn't bad at all. And I could breath through my nose for the first time ever!

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  21. I never even got the racoon eyes, WWM. Even with the swelling and all the packing I was still breathing better than I ever had before. I know what you mean about those nightmares. I still hate for anyone, ANYONE to touch my nose.

    Posted 2 years ago by KYKAT 12 23 #

  22. LOL WWM!.... my brother (14 mos. younger than me) rolled down the stairs ( I swear I did NOT push him ) when we were little, and he has had the same problems!....

... thanks, guys, I will be doing the same thing I've been doing for over 20 yrs, and begin at the end of this month!....

I've just brought home the MOST beautiful Sea scallops... they are huge and delicious looking .... I'm thinking of pan-searing them and then putting them atop a angle hair pasta with a lemon/white wine/butter sauce, with some fresh dill and parlsely...... finish with a nice salad and I'm done! Dinner in 10!

  29. But you did tell them that you have to post on TDK, right AV??????

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  30. Well, I'll probably keep many of my same TDK hours as I do now.... typically I'm on early in the morning US/late UK & "downunder".... and then on the NS.... even now, my "home work" keeps me occupied most of the days, (though I do manage sometimes to "slip in" every now and then!)......

.... I could never abandon my "family"!.....
