  3. I am in far Western Kentucky and we didn't get that horrendous storm, but my family and friends are in Louisville. Spangle has water in her basement, Pooh's house and mom's house are on higher ground so they are both fine. Sis had a hard time getting home through flooded roads. Billions of dollars of damage in Louisville from the 6 inches of rain that fell in 2 hours.

Elizabeth from the list is in Shelby county which is in the Louisville area. I hope she and hers are all right.

  4. Oh thanks for checking in Patti and I'm praying for your family and friends in Louisville! I can't believe the havoc that one storm can bring to an area that would otherwise be doing fine. Ugh! You mentioned Elizabeth from the list..?..do you mean the TDK list?

  5. I think she means Elizabeth who postes the lists about which shelters are in urgent need of sponsers or adoptions. I have her email address and I'll check to make sure she is alright as well as the shelters in the area!

  10. Those poor animals! Can't imagine how scary it is to have water pouring into the cage the animal is in. They were swimming! My heart breaks for them.

  12. I wish I was there and could help. Spangle is trying to re-arrange her schedule to go down for the overnight shift tonight. She is still dealing with a flooded basement herself, but she is spreading the word as well.

  14. Oh No! Whaaaaa! Those poor shelter babies! Thank you Julie so much for posting the notice. I feel so helpless and far away. Please God...let many warm, caring people respond to the needs of this shelter and the wonderful animals who need their help. =(
