I feel like this is getting old. I have that old "Catholic guilt" in the pit of my stomach. You have no idea how long I have stared at this post and wondered if I should even post this. I feel like I have over-extended my allotment of prayers and goodwill from this wonderful group of people. I saw the neuro today and was told that she didn't have the best news for me. Apparently I have "sprung a leak" of the cerebral spinal fluid that surrounds and bathes our brain and spinal cord. I have a condition called "pseudo-meningiocele" (you are learning so MUCH from my misfortune! LOL) and most likely need another brain surgery ASAP. It has nearly tripled in size in less than a month. I took and hand delivered the test results to the neurosurgeon and he was in surgery at that time. I will here from him tomorrow. His receptionist said he has surgery time open on Friday! WHAT?!?!?!?!?!? Oh, I don't think I can handle another brain surgery. I certainly don't deserve it but I am asking for just a few more prayers. One day I am certainly hoping to be well enough to pay it forward...........

Molly - first and foremost - don't be daft, you will NEVER have used up your prayer quota, because there ISN'T one!!!
You are having such a rubbish time of it, yet your humour still shines through your posts. I could wish for a tenth of your strength, positivity, attitude, whatever.
So Molly - prayers galore, and {{{hugs}}} too. If you need more surgery, then you need more surgery. We just want you well again!!

If,as God would have it , you do need surgery, would it be possible fro you to email whoever you feel comfortable with, some contacts info because as you know, we are a bunch of worriers, and although I know you would love another "hot" officer knocking at your door...

Honestly I just need a good cry. I start and then I stuff it back down. I just don't know what to do right now. I am so upset that I am a mess. I guess part of me wanted to know why I am losing vision but now that I know something is wrong, it is REAL. That scares the hell out me!

OMG, MC you can NEVER use up the prayers and good will of this family. I know it must be so scary but hopefully you can get on the surgeon's schedule ASAP so you can be on the road to getting well...you have a bright future ahead of you my dear. You will certainly be in my prayers over the next days and weeks to come, one more miracle will be on the way. Stay strong, God love you!!!

Get yourself a nice hot drink, some chocolate and let it all out! You have every right to be upset. And you shouldn't stuff it back down. I was worried once with my diabetes effecting my eyesight but, bless your heart, have something a little worse. At least you now know what is wrong and it may be able to be fixed! Just stay positive hun but on the same note don't hide your emotions {{{huggles}}}

Oh, Mollycat, you must be sooooooo tired of hospitals, doctors and tests. But, don't think of the next surgery as a new surgery - it's just a little tune up on the last repair. In fact, I would ask him if the first surgery came with a warranty.
I read a little bit about psuedomeningiocele and it looks like it's a fairly common thing to have happen after the type of surgery you had. Hopefully the fix is an easy and quick one.
I'm lighting a candle for you hoping that this will be the last time you have to deal with it and that the treatment will be swift, painless and quickly recovered from.

Mollycat, bless your heart....actually, may God bless your brain!.....there is no such thing as a quota limit on prayer, just as there is no limit on God's love.
It's okay to have a good cry, throw a tantrum, or whatever you need to cope with the frustration, fear, and just plain old being sick and tired of being sick and tired!
You can do this, you can cope with this, you can face this setback, and get back on track with healing toward the rest of your life being healthier, far more comfortable, and full of joy.
Hug the four-footed furry love for some comfort and make arrangements for furry love care while you go get your surgery in a couple of days.
God bless. And you ARE in prayers, many of them, without limit!!!

my dear amy i am so sorry you have to go through this again. i couldn't believe it when i recieved your email. you know you always have my and my families prayers. you are always in our prayers , i send you so many hugs and head bonks.. please keep me posted on what is happening.. i am working as usual fri , sat and sunday... i'm sure somone will post how you are and what you are doing. lydia and betty and wilma have been on the phone fur hours . i've heard sniffles and kitty prayers.. lydia is here for betty and wilma , she will visit them through the worm hole to check on them..... my mother ( she was a nun (young) , and a nurse when she was young and old) she told me she will say a rosary for you nightly ... you are not alone my friend....

And if you can have the surgery as early as Friday, that is great....you won't have much time to think about it and worry. Now I am really fighting off the tears. I just heard from FF, he said IF I have surgery he will sit with me before, during and after! He said they will have to kick him out of the hospital kicking and screaming. At least I know ONE person will be there physically but you guys would be there too in spirit!

Dear MC - hugs to you (and FF)! While I know it is scary as he**, at least there is an answer... Did the neuro say what the surgery would entail???Could it be as "easy" as a needle aspiration? Then a dab of glue to block the hole? Not to make light, but they can do amazing things with micro surgery these days!!! Never, never feel guilty asking for support. You know you have an unending and inexhaustable supply here! {{{{{MC, FF and the girls}}}} I stongly support the idea of chocolate, herbal tea and a big box of tissues! Let it out!

I am sorry you have to go through this and I know you are scared, anxious, confused and angry..go ahead and cry..it's good for the soul. We are here for you in spirit, thoughts and prayers. I am SO GLAD that FF will be there for you. That relives my mind somewhat to know someone is there for you. Sorry MC, but the big needle won't work. That was one of the ideas for dealing with the pools of excess fluid in my noggin, but they said it would probably "alter the internal structure of your brain in ways that could not be predicted" - um, NO!
