  1. (((((((MC)))))))

We are here for you. I'm so sorry you have to do this again. Prayers, white light, healing vibes coming your way pronto!!

  2. Hang in there MC!

  3. Amy, you've been so strong--you're amazing. You came through that first surgery like a trooper, and I know this next one will be the same. The Bible says 'pray without ceasing', and we all will do just that. We'll pray for the surgeon's skillful hands, a successful surgery and a really rapid recovery. And no more pain afterwards!! FF--you are #1 in my book!!!

  4. *Emma clears her throat in a manner that may be described as menacing and loving at the same time*

    Darling Amy,

Please always keep us all in the loop about the prayers you need and about anything else you need. We are here for you, and we are all here for each other. This group is hard-wired for loving and praying.

If you get in a situation where you don't let us know about what is going on, and for some reason do not give us the joy of praying for you, I will get in the TDK CyberJeep and on the way to your house I will pick up 2BP, HM, Kilroy, SMM, SM, PuddyTat, Lisa, Vicki, Joan, C4C, KK, KW, Susie, Gini, and everyone else. Of course WWM will be in the jeep -- she always rides shotgun on these adventures.

THEN, and only then, can you plug into the Catholic Guilt Machine.

Sweetheart, we love you and we pray for you always. Keep us updated.

    All my love,
    Emma

PS: FF sounds like a keeper!

  6. Amy, there is no limit on prayers. Our God is a loving God and Grace is there for all. Unfortunaely our bodies are fragile and sometimes need extra work. I hopoe you are at the Neuro office now getting a plan of action. Get in, get fixed, get well. Next month, if you are not up to going out, then by golly, I am coming in. I'll bring pizza. Don't forget you are the miracle kid and you will come through this with flying colors.

  7. Amy--plesase know everyone is praying for you and will see you thru this--but go ahead and have a good cry if you need to--it can help relieve some of the tension. Milo was in the basement a while ago talking up a storm to someone, so I think he was talking to Betty and Wilma just to check in on you. He sends loads of purrs and very gentle headbonks along with all the prayers we can muster.

  8. {{{MC}}}, just checking back in, I suppose you are at the doctor's now...please know that you are in my prayers, today and for as long as it takes. I am glad that FF will be by your side, he is such a stand up guy and I'm glad you are there for each other. Remember, you are the Miracle Kid and our hero too...stay strong, we all are with you during this trying time.

  9. Yep, I'm definitely willing to hop in that TDK Cyberjeep and head your way, MC.

Please let us know when you have spoken to the doctor today.

    Many, many hugs and prayers.

  10. You know the thing about a good independent neurosurgeon is that they are busy people. I have called three times and he was in emergency surgery, then seeing patients, then at lunch. They told me they know I am worried but to try to relax. Still waiting.........

  11. We'll be praying for you!

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

    Joshua 1:9

  12. Drumroll please.................the surgeon is going to do NOTHING! He is going to monitor the "pool" for a month and see if it gets any bigger. Apparently the surgery is extremely dangerous and often does NOT have a good outcome. They have to dig around in the brain and essentially squeeze out all the swelling from the tissues sort of like squeezing out a sponge. There is a high risk of significant neuro damage and the location just isn't a good one. It is in the area that controls some important stuff like vision, heart beat, breathing and my five senses. They said they do understand my concern but they are not willing to take that significant risk of doing this unless the area grows even bigger in one month. Tomorrow I am going for a mapping of all the blood vessels in my brain so that they can keep an eye on those. Yay!

  13. {{{MC}}}, I'm sure you are glad to at least know more about what's going on with you, I guess this explains why your eyesight was affected. I'm relieved that you didn't have to rush into surgery, especially after what you just have found out. You are in good hands between the medical team that's monitoring you and of course FF ;o) Stay strong my dear!

  14. Annie, I hope I don't do anything stupid with FF. He really is a special guy. He called me at work today to make sure I was ok and handling things ok. I pray things continue to work out with him as he is a special person.

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  15. Ewww. That sounds... just ewww. Are there any meds that can bring down the fluid pool? Does it sometimes go down on its own? I'm afraid I don't much about these things.

Well then, we will just keep praying that the fluid doesn't continue to pool and that it shrinks on its own. Hugs to you, MC!

  16. I will add, FF sounds like a great guy. The time will come when he needs your support too, so it is great that you found each other right now.

Posted 2 years ago by NNGM #

  17. Well, that is good news and I pray the areas will NOT enlarge!!!!! At least you get a 'break' for now....I pray this all turns out well for you, Amy!

Posted 2 years ago by katthays #

  18. He said that sometimes the body does reabsorb the fluid but the fact that it has grown so much is rather alarming!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  19. I was wondering about that too, NNGM....then we will pray that your body DOES absorb the fluid!!!!!

Posted 2 years ago by katthays #

  20. You know we will all be praying like crazy in the meantime! OK, what is involved in a "mapping"? Is that done through a MRI or cat scan or something? ("Cat" being the key word, lol)

Posted 2 years ago by corzak #

  21. Um, Corzak, I am not too sure. I think I get some sort of contrast dye put in thru an IV. Then they put me in a scanner, not sure what kind CAT (meow) or PET or what. I know I cant wear make up, hairspray or deodarant!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  22. Oh wow, MC. Well, at least you have an answer, sort of. I hope I didn't scare the dickens out of you with my e-mail last night, btw. I am sending vibes for the fluid to *not* increase and for FF to give you much comforting :)

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  23. Oh MC, I can understand your concerns, you and FF have both had a lot of medical problems right when you are getting to know each other...seems to me you haven't really had a chance to be "normal" together. I have a good feeling about you guys though, you and FF are both caring and mature people who are just dealing with a lot of heavy stuff right now. At the very least you are building a strong friendship through all your shared experiences.

Posted 2 years ago by Annie R #

  24. Amy I'm keeping you on the top of my Prayer list. I'm truly praying this condition will not require the surgery they're talking about doing. Sooooo glad you have FF for comfort. Know that we're all sending you all the Prayers, White Light and Love we can muster!!! (((((Amy)))))

Posted 2 years ago by Karenopa #

  25. Gosh, MC - I guess that is good news! And I only say "I guess" because I'm not at all knowledgeable about all of this, having never spent any time in neuro. But I am glad that surgery just might not be needed. Did the doctor say if you would experience any symptoms from the CSF buildup? Is that what caused the problem with your eye?

FF sounds pretty special, I must say. But then, so are you.

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  26. I could definitely have sx from the CSF buildup such as tingling/loss of sensation in my dextremities, swallow problems, gait disturbance etc. Those would be big red flags!!!! *blushing*

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  27. Heavenly Father, I lift up my friend and your servant, Amy, into your care. I specifically ask that the CSF be absorbed back into her body and that she begin to heal. I ask that you bless her with a long and healthy life. I give over FF to your care as well. Send them both skilled doctors, nurses, and technicians. I ask that you bless their relationship as it grows into a deep and caring friendship and help them nurture and support each other. I ask that you surround Amy with the love and care that is coming from her friends, through you, and that she feel the warmth and hugs in a tangible fashion. Lord, fill her with a sense of peace and wellbeing. Amen

  28. Amen, KYKAT......

  29. Soothing prayers of Healing, Peace and Love for You!

Posted 2 years ago by jeankit #

  30. Amen to Kykat's prayer. Sending healing thoughts and prayers that MC's body absorbs the fluid and that it doesn't get any bigger. Prayers for FF and his health challenges. Sending you both hugs.
