She should learn to clean herself all over if you teach her (if her mother isn't about). If in future she gets clumps of poop stuck you WILL have to snip it out of her fur as it will stick and be very difficult to get out by other means. I have a semi-long furred cat who as a kitten had the same problem. He didn't get stained fur though so I am not too sure what to do there. Maybe try some shampoo for kitties?

maybe ill hit up the 99 cent store and get some baby wipes, i just looked that up, she has white fur i think thats why its stained...she is a dirty little girl when i was feeding her she dug her whole face in the food violently eating lmao i wiped that off though...she looked like a homeless bear for a minute(we call our cats the bears, and these are our cubs)

My 2 year old long haired kitty had this happen to him about a year ago. His poo got stuck in his fur. After that experience we take him to get his bridges shaved about twice a year to keep that from happening again.

You can use very mild shampoo (like baby shampoo) instead of cat shampoo if you have it. Sometimes just a bit of a soak in warm water will loosen it up enough for you to clean most of her little bum. Then she'll want to lick (assuming she's old enough). If you do trim the fur off her little behind, it will grow back.

Just an FYI animal rescue groups use Dawn Dishwashing detergent to remove oil from spills. Baby Shampoo is great but the idea is to keep the suds out of the eyes.
