Hi all, thanks for inquiring about me. I was feeling a bit lost in the shuffle around here and decided to take a bit of time off.
I had a good week at the new job - averaged one appointment a day, which is my personal goal. The others do more, but they're more experienced and work more hours than I do.
One problem, though. I just checked my bank account, because I was going to go buy a new phone today. Seems my last pay check from the new job bounced!!! I called XBF who assured me it was a fluke - I sure hope so!
He did tell me the boss there had said for him to tell me that both appointments I set for him yesterday for after I left had gone really well and may pan out. That would be nice - maybe then my pay checks won't bounce!!!Was busy with pet-sitting, too. Wednesday and Thursday nights I stayed over with the teenage daughter and dog of the lady who lent me her car a few weeks back. This weekend Fri. through Saunday nights, I'm staying over with a new pet-sitting client's 14 yr. old dog.
Bobby and Mi had a traumatic experience this week. They had to spend an entire day at XBF's house as my landlord had a pest control guy come to the house. Bobby was excited of course. He ran right out of his carrier and explored the house. He was very excited to discover the screen door to the outside that he could lay by. I apparently ruined some plans Mi had for hanging out in the bathroom window at home or sleeping under the ottoman or something, because he was NOT a happy camper!! When I left, he refused to leave his carrier.
XBF came home for lunch and hung out and watched nature with Bobby but couldn't find Mi anywhere.
I finally picked them up after work at 9:30pm (dropped them off at 7:15am). I had to search for Mi who was hiding and he was hissing and growling up a storm. Bobby was happy enough.
Turned out they'd spent the day plotting revenge on their mean mama. When I was leaving with Bobby (Mi was in the car) in his carrier (it has straps to hang over my shoulder), I leaned down to put the key under the mat and all of a sudden, I felt my shoes were all wet. Turned out the little stinker picked the PERFECT moment to empty his bladder - down my legs and all the way into both my shoes!!!
I dropped them at home and went to stay with the kid and dog. When I came home in the morning, Mi had left me a pile of throw-up right in front of the door for me to step in.
I believe we're even now!!!! -
Aw, GD! You could never, ever get lost here, you're our GD and you're really important.
Poor Bobby and Mi :O Boy, they really let you know how they felt, didn't they? I hope that things will calm down a bit and the three of you can just be together and be comfortable. {{{Bobby and Mi}}}

Sounds like you've been pretty busy alright. Sorry about the new paycheck bouncing. I don't think I'd be awfully encouraged by that one but I suppose it could be a once in a life time thing. ???? Poor Milo wasn't the least bit happy about the visitation to XBF's place! Wow...did he ever get even! The little stinker. Brother Bobby is such a seasoned traveler that he probably loved getting out and about. =)

Hi GD! I haven't visited TDK in a while and have been spending the afternoon catching up on back threads, and I saw that they had put out an APB for you. It seems like there are lots of new posters on the site. Glad to know that you and Bobby and Mi are OK, even if your shoes will never be the same! Hope the new job is a little better and that your checks stop bouncing!

Karen, Bobby loves going places - he's so adaptable! He walked right out of that carrier to check things out.I called XBF who assured me the paycheck bouncing was a fluke. The company doesn't seem to be having money trouble, so maybe it was just a one time kind of thing. I hope so!

Well, EBL told me the latest news when I got in on Wednesday. Apparently BB's son (EBL's nephew) - who dropped out of school 6 months ago and have been working at the gym - got arrested on Tuesday night. The kid (just turned 18) got caught with a gang while breaking into cars! This same gang is the one police say broke into both BB's and our senior trainer's cars at their homes two weeks before.
He stayed in jail til Friday evening and was back at the gym yesterday..... -
