    Jcat, this was the boy who showed up one night and helped himself to $800's worth of drinks because he was mad at his dad!

    Good news on the check from the new job. I told the boss today and he was all upset - he called the bank and it did seem there was some kind of problem. Two pay checks were returned, but later ones had gone through!
    Anyway, he gave me a new check and added an extra $50. My fee will be $10, so that's a good deal!
    While he was feeling bad about my check bouncing, I hit him with my "dentist appointment" on Friday and told him I can't make it in. I feel like a bad girl - there's no dentist appointment, but there's a round robin with my tennis team and I really, really need to go spend some time with my friends and play some tennis. After that, I'm going to my favorite sushi buffet with Auntie Ellen and her daughter. I'm so looking forward to Friday!!! :)

    Yep, it was nice. I was so annoyed over the weekend, because I wanted to go buy a new phone and I couldn't because the check bounced. It's all better now and the extra $50 will cover most of my gas for the week so that's nice.

    I'm looking forward to Friday. It's payday at the new job (crossing fingers for a good check) and Monday will be pay day at the gym. Hopefully they'll pay me on Thursday from the new job, but if not, I can wait til Monday or XBF can get the check for me.

    Auntie Ellen is having a garage sale on Saturday and wants me to join her. I would love to, but I think it'll be hard to get someone to cover for me at the gym.

    I'll have no dog-sitting this weekend for the first time in a month. I suspect the dog I watched this weekend had fleas - I'm covered in bites and itchy all over :(

    They SHOULD, JCAT!!!!! It's either fleas or bed bugs. XBF thinks it's fleas. He's got some anti itch stuff I'm going to pick up on my way home tonight.

    I only ever had a garage sale once, and it was really neat. Once I figure out what job I'm sticking with, I want to move, so getting rid of some stuff in a garage sale would be great and I can make money to make up for missing work at the gym.

    HI LINDA!!!!! I was going to send you a thank you note in the mail, but of course haven't gotten anywhere near a store for a card or the post office, for that matter. I got it the other day - yay!!!! Thank you so much - that totally made my week!

    I won't do it for too long, SM. I'm starting team practice in mid to late Septmeber so by then, I'll cut one job. Until then, I'm trying to make a bit of money. I owe my brother for the car, the car needs new tires, Bobby needs blood tests, and I'd like to move and at least save up for a deposit and first/last on a new place.

    Nope, no melting!
    Mi was excited about the envelope. He's got a thing for all kinds of paper - I let him tear it apart and have some fun. I'm fairly certain Bobby was rolling his eyes!

    Speaking of Bobby - his ear seemed to be bothering him again today when I was home. I need to keep an eye on him and take him to the vet on Saturday if he doesn't stop scratching at it. I've tried cleaning it out and he's so good about it, but I don't want to end up injuring him.

    GD, you would never be lost in the shuffle here. I have noticed that including you and a number of TDKers seem to be lurking instead of posting. I am sending prayers that things get better for those that need them. I truly hope things work out at the job you enjoy most that also pays you a really good wage so that you can move into a bigger and better place, pay off your brother and fix up your car. That is a lot on your plate so one day at a time. Sending you some hugs.

    Milo sounds like my Mia. When she hears me tearing paper, she comes running. Her favorite toy is for me to wad up a small piece of paper and toss it to her. She catches it and then bats it around on the fake linoleum wood dining room/entry way floor. She loves doing this. Lowest cost toy for her. Ha ha!

    Also, is GG still playing hard to get? Darn it, I didn't win the MegaLotto last night. I thought it would have been the nicest birthday present to have gotten. Oh well, have to go buy more on Friday as it went from $124 million to $146 million. Kilroy I was thinking the same thing..everyone's money troubles being taken care of.

    I had a good week last week at the new job, and this week's going well, too. I've gotten two appointments per day this week. I had two on Friday that went really well, so that was a good start. I set one up for the afternoon yesterday after I left, and it seems this company mya actually go ahead and sign on. Yay!!!
    I like the job a lot better when I'm getting calls back and setting appointments. I think it was also slow in the beginning with a lot of the people I called being away on vacation.
    I'm taking it one step and one expense at a time. I'd really like to move ASAP, but I know I should pay off my brother and save up some first while I'm living at an inexpensive place. I'm just so tired of living in such a cramped space and I'm hoping moving from a studio to a one bedroom, I may sleep better because I won't have to deal with Bobby at night. I hope!

    GG is still texting me and started Facebooking me some, too. Last time we were supposed to go out, he ended up having to spend time with family from out of town so we didn't go. It's frustrating and I'm ready to give up :(

    Sorry you didn't win the millions, SMM and Kilroy - that would have been great!!!
