It is a somber night in the NS office. Kitties everywhere are wiping their eyes and crying. They are sad two little ones were taken so young. They are also saddened to know their human parents are in such pain now. They are all lighting candles in their memories. There is a pink one for Missy and a blue one for Binx. There is a white one for their parents. They have the lights dimmed and there will be simple foods tonight, no one feels like cooking. There is some cake and ice cream from Huddy's party, a fruit tray with dip, cut up veggies and dip, and chips/pretzels. There are drinks of all kinds for adults and kitties. Please come reflect with us and offer up our love and support for Jade and Luke. RIP sweet babies!

Hi MC, i only read Sins post 20 minutes ago and tears are still rolling down my face for Sins and Luke's loss. We all know how quickly a wee furry bundle can capture even the hardest heart. So sad.
I'll definitely be having an adult drink today and sitting quietly with an agency kitty and thinking about Sins and Luke.Posted 7 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

I know, it totally broke my heart. Especially her frantic post as he was getting worse. It tore me up to read each post as he got worse. When I didn't see a new post I knew that things were not good. Let me have a strong drink with you

Mr. WWM took me out to dinner tonight to celebrate. I rode 20 miles on my new bike today and never fell over once. A milestone! But y'all should see my legs. I have scabs and bruises everywhere.
I told Mr. WWM at dinner about baby Binx. I am so sad not only for Binx, but for Jade and Luke. We just forget that our love and will power alone is not always enough. I felt so helpless today reading Jade's pleas for help.
I think that I am not far off from going to bed. My love to all of our TDK family.

I agree WWM, I wanted to help so bad but I didn't know how to. I wanted to swoop Binx up and take him to my ER vet clinic. It breaks my heart cause I know how sad they are. I love that Mr. WWM took you out to celebrate, Concats!

It has been sad, indeed.
I was so excited that I made the whole ride and didn't crash and burn. For one thing, I have run out of body parts to scrape, bruise, burn....... I am a mess from the thighs down! You wouldn't believe the bruises on my outer thighs!!!!

They are a lovely shade of purplish-green right now. Mr. WWM and I were just sitting out on the porch swing having a glass of wine and he reached over and patted my left knee, which is the one with the huge scab. I about came undone!!! Poor thing - he was just giving me a love pat! Owwiieeee!

I have a Cannondale (made in America!) Synapse carbon fiber bike that is specifically sized for women. I have fallen off of it three times trying to learn to use clipless pedals - you are clipped into a binding on the pedal. I do wear a helmet but so far I haven't fallen on my head. That might hurt less!

Can anyone remember the name of the last thread that Emma wrote about the Wolf? I sent Mr. WWM her writing tonight about Binx and Missy and he was so touched. But I cannot find the last one. Was it about Parfait or Speck? If anyone remembers and can help my feeble memory, I would appreciate it if you could post the link.

Just popping in and put of the NS office today. Busy making "lunch" and dinner for Mr MS who is asleep at the moment but starting his own night shift again in a few hours. Getting up at 5.20am to pick him up is leaving me a bit frazzled, but there's no way he could drive home after a 12 hour shift without falling asleep. Meegz and I did more wedding research yesterday, mainly pricing wedding cakes, table runners, chair covers etc! Need to win Lotto I think or have a lovely simple, yet elegant wedding.
Sleep well WWM and may you dream of martinis.Posted 7 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Hi, WWM, KM, MC, Joan, AV and MS. Such a hard last couple of weeks for TDK kitties!
I performed a wedding today for a young couple at a local vineyard. It was a perfect day for a wedding and the ceremony was interesting. I was part of a judge "tag-team." A close friend of the groom is a judge in Kansas. She wrote up the ceremony and did most of it. I did the exchange of vows and rings and pronounced them married. It was very fun!

Sounds nice, KW!

LOL, a judge tag-team. Did you have to wear tights and a face mask? In the red corner we have judge Kitty. . . .
Yesterday Meegz,my mum and I and the grooms friend/landlady (also Meegz friend now) went and had a good look at the venue they have chosen. We were able to picture things in our minds and get ideas. It has a lovely garden, huge open air(but closable) marquee attached to the house and the house is an old farm homestead. The service and reception will all be held in the one place. The wedding may be nine months away but Meegz is now discovering that there is a mountain of planning to do. And she has to move house after her house she rented was sold.Posted 7 months ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Weddings are a fun part of my job. :)
The wedding venue sounds nice, MS. No, no tights under the judge robe. XP

good evening everyone... I'll take a gin and tonic, please... I wanted to ask WWM how her other parts are doing after a 20 mile ride - my bum would be hurting if it was me!!! I am starting to do longer walks with my new hip, and wonder of wonders - NO pain! Just have to get the muscles back into condition!

Glad your new hip is working well for you, NC!
Bikes with toe clips scare me. I don't think I'd ever try riding one that had them.

I know what you mean, KW! I can't ride them.... I go for the old style, heavy ones with the pannier baskets - granny bike for me!!!

Yup, granny bike with a nice bell on it. lol
I'm going to call it a night. Sweet dreams to all. :)
