May I request a small prayer from y'all for the FF? He is really down right now. Let me explain a teeny bit. He was living in a townhouse after he got divorced (very nice place) but found a home with awesome potential on foreclosure. It needs work but he can do all the work himself. Well, he is now stuck with both places, he couldn't sell his townhouse. He has lowered the price nearly $40,000 and still no bites. He has now told his real estate lady to try to rent it. STILL NO ONE. He is paying the mortgage on two places on a FF salary. Lets just say in Chicago-land that is very pricey and he doesn't make THAT much. Property taxes are coming up in Sept and he can't swing it. He is worried he is going to go into foreclosure. He is selling off everything he has on Ebay and Craigslist to try to raise some money. He is trying to sell his much coveted Chicago Bears season tickets. He doesn't want to continue to go to the doc for MS cause he says it "just costs money". I know there are people who are far worse off but he is really depressed, I have never seen him like this. I am trying to be supportive but I think I need TDK behind me. Thanks for anything you can offer!

Oh, no!!! Poor FF--I'll keep him in my prayers. Darn it, I wish I lived closer because I'm currently looking for a townhome (don't tell him that!)

why does he need a real estate person to rent his townhouse. can't he put an ad in the paper ??? a real estate agent is going to charge a fee that he might not have to pay if he rented it from a newspaper...

He is going to rent it now so that he doesn't have two full payments. He is still looking for a buyer at any time.

I'm sorry to hear FF is so down and for good reason. He works hard and does his part and now this man is facing the possibility of foreclosure. Tell him not to give up...he may find someone to rent it temporarily even if he has to make a portion of the payment until he can sell it...that way he won't lose it to foreclosure. Sending prayers that the townhouse sells fast or a responsible renter takes up residence! (((FF))) (((MC)))

Prayers for FF, MC. He has been hit with so much in such a short amount of time. His diagnosis alone requires time to absorb and come to terms with, let alone financial worries.
I hope that the housing part will be resolved so that he can take care of his health.
