  1. In honor of the good news Sins has blessed us with, let's celebrate. We have had much sadness of late, so let's have a toast (non alcholic, of course) to our newest little TDK'er! We have a full buffet of Eggs, Omelets, Toast, Muffins, Cinnamon Coffee Cake, Cream Cheese Danish, Bagels, Bacon, Sausage, Yogurt, Fresh Fruit, Coffee/Tea/Cocoa, Juices, and Milk. Come fill your plate (we have blue and pink plates today) and grab a drink. We also have some "to go" boxes to help you if you are in a hurry. Con-cats Jade and Luke! Missy and Binx are so proud!

  4. i need to say something here...

i hope people don't hate me for questioning the recent chip-in. i didn't mean for the policy on giving to be changed. i simply didn't want my money to be wasted or anyone on this site to be hurt, that's all..

    i apologise...

  5. Oh Cheri, I am so sorry that has happened to you. No offense taken. You are a great person in my book and I took nothing personal. I hope that it all gets worked out and no one gets mad at anyone! Morning Melvin's meowmy, I found an orangesicle in my bed!!!

    Posted 3 months ago by mollycat71 #

  6. Mahaha. Melvin brought me his new hamster this morning (a toy I have yet to put on the shop).
I love it when kitties do that. :D

  12. Morning everyone, its 4.36 a.m. and the sun is just starting to come up and of course I slept thru the Persiod's and will have to try again tonight to see them.

  13. What? Cuddles didn't eat???????

    Posted 3 months ago by mollycat71 #

  14. Morning fambily. I'm not a happy camper right now, I'm suffering from a bout of colitis...have been free of it for almost four years, but too much stress lately has caused a flare-up. And I -just- had a vacation (sigh).

Four deaths in my SCA family before and during my vacation, and four deaths of co-workers' family members in that same two weeks has just been a bit much to take, ya know?

So maybe some scrambled eggs with cheese and an acid-reduced OJ for me, please...

Posted 3 months ago by Siobhan #

  15. Oh Sio, that's rough! Hang in there, sending healing white light your way and some acid free OJ with your yummy eggs!

  16. LOL MC!.....no, Cuddles' problems is that she eats EVERYTHING...... but because of her digestive problems, she PUKES it right back up...... the vet has her on i/d dry food, which she keeps down, but I also have to give her anxiety pills.... she doesn't like the i/d wet food..... so for a while, I was giving her pills by crushing them into a powder and mixing with her dry food.... not the best way, as I know a lot of the med doesn't get in her..... finally, some wonderful person on this site, suggested baby food because of it being so pure, organic, and easy on a baby's immature digestive system.... I called the vet and she thought that was a great idea too..... so I bought a jar, and Cuddles LOVED IT!!!.... it's her very special treat...... she's getting the "wet" she needs (her poop was hard little pellets before, now it's healthy and normal).... and her meds are a breeze - I just mix the crushed pill in with the baby meat, and she HOOVERS it!!!!!...... it has a very strong smell, that she really is attracted to...... the meat sticks are like "treats" to her...... I've had wonderful success with it......but most of all, SHE DOESN'T PUKE IT!!!!!

  17. AV, that is great that Cuddles loves the baby food and the meat sticks with the added plus that she doesn't donate it back to the floor. I have to do that with Max sometimes, he will decide he really isn't hungry after all and won't eat, and he has to eat for the meds to be put into.

  18. Congrats on the baby news!
Went out last night with a group of ladies from church. We had supper and then went to the movie "Julia & Julie." It was better than I thought it would be and quite funny.

  19. Betty and Wilma hoover up baby food too. Wilma had to eat it back when she was taking anxiety pills a few years ago. SO much kitten anxiety!! I heard Julia and Julie was supposed to be a good movie!

  20. Hi everyone -
Congrats, Sins - so very happy for you guys!
I heard "He Ain't Heavy (He's My Brother)" by the Hollys on my way in this morning. The song was used in a slide show honoring my firefighter uncle who died in the line of duty last year. Always liked that song; had the 45. So I bawled all the way to w**k. Good thing I don't wear makeup!
Ok, so I'm a bit drained, so I would love to cuddle a Maine Coon kitty and have a cheesy omlet with fruit on the side with a glass of oj.

  21. Good morning everyone, thanks for setting up such a delightful buffet MC, it's hard to decide what to have! That was indeed great news from Jade and Luke about their wee one to be! We needed some good news here. Sorry you are ill Siobhan, I hope you feel better asap! I also hope everyone has a great day, we're on the downhill slide to the weekend ;o)

Posted 3 months ago by Annie R #

  22. Joan, I had an Osmond Brothers album and they did a version of "He Ain't Heavy" that I thought was beautiful.

Annie, you made my day...thinking that the weekend is only three days away (lol). There is a library picnic today, grilled burgers, brats, veggie burgers. What a nice way to ease back into the work routine...with three weeks of reports to do (UGH).

The kitties have been doing their Barnacle imitations since we've returned from vacation. Stickin' to us like little fuzzy burrs (lol).

  23. Shaddo went on many a hunger strike over the years. Baby food always jump-started his appetite. He was a sucker for turkey too!

Posted 3 months ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  24. Morning ALL! Congrats to Jade and Luke!!! Siobhan, I'm sorry you're having a bout with colitis again...my son suffers from that now and then, and I know others who do, too....it sounds(and feels!) like an awful thing :( Yesterday we started scraping the paint off of window trim and have to prime and paint...ugh....I love painting, but not this kind of stuff! Hubs is the 'on the ladder' guy....I try to avoid climbing! Hope everyone has a super day!

  25. GOOD MORNING everyone!!!!! :) Happy Wednesday, my day off this week.

Posted 3 months ago by bumblebee #

  26. Good Morning to all. Congrats to Jade and Luke! What wonderful news. I just had a 1/2 a bagel (for real) so I will skip the breakfast, but a nice little orangie to cuddle for a bit would be nice.

  27. Yay about the baby! Great news there!

Feeling a bit low today and struggling a bit at the moment in general with missing Sultie. Is this normal? It's been since last October and I still feel as awful. Sigh. On the plus side it's a sunny day so I should probably cheer up and enjoy it.

Posted 3 months ago by metsa #

  28. Must be something in the air this side of the atlantic metsa, I'm having a blue day too...I guess you're still feeling bad about Sultie as you haven't got any furry monsters around you, and I know that can't change while you're living where you are {{{hugs}}}

  29. {{{Metsa and MCW}}}

MCW, would it cheer you up if I pointed out that you arrive in the US 3 WEEKS FROM TODAY!!! Wheeeee! I can't wait! Mike just painted the main hallway, which was the last sprucing up type project he wanted to finish before your arrival, so if you wanted to come now, that would be good :)

Posted 3 months ago by Kilroy #

  30. Hee hee, well done Mike, yeah I'm really looking forward to it, it's only today I'm having a downer. Nothing to do with the impending 4-0 either, just a bit of a sad anniversary for me.
