Sorry if I seemed irreverent, just hoping to cheer folks up a bit. Oh, and I asked Mike what he was going to do now that he'd finished the very last sprucing up type project he could do, and his answer was, "Start over". But first he wants to revamp all the closets. The closets? I guess I don't give them that much thought, but he thinks they're a mess and need renovating.
Hey, don't be daft, I appreciated the thought! Neck's killing as well, which doesn't help. Mike sounds like he'd be happy having a job on our Fourth Bridge, the saying goes that it takes so long to paint, you have to start again as soon as you've finished!!

Wednesday greetings to all from Milwaukee on another beautiful day! I walked to work so an omelet with fresh fruit and a large black coffee to go! My kits were quite mellow this morning...must be the drop in humidity! Wishes for a wonderful day/evening to all! Sorry your neck's hurting. My head is still driving me nuts, how long's it been now? I lose track. Stupid head. What was that PM said about everyone getting one free head or body transplant in their lifetime?
Speaking of PM, I think I dreamed about Hepburn last night; I was dreaming about a little black kitty in a garden. It was chasing a mouse, and every time it caught it, it would let it go and chase it again. I could almost hear the kitty laughing.

I have a bad neck today too MCW. I rolled over and I heard a lot of cracking and popping (NOT a good thing in my head!). Now I can't turn my head or barely hold my head up. FF is going to try to cut out of a job and come over to see me and check my neck. I told him "NO" and he needed the money and to stay at the job. The gesture was nice enough he didn't need to follow thru on it!

What's with the sore necks around here? Mine's sore too! I can look that way, but not that way. It's sort of a chronic thing - some days are worse than others, but the poison ivy is taking my mind off of it! And...I don't know what I did to my left pinky finger, but it's been sore, but not swollen, for weeks, sheesh.
*steps off whine box and pours glass of wine from a box*

Emma, I think AV is using the Turkey or the Chicken sticks by Gerber. Maddie ate those too and I know Abbie will too. They come like 8 to a jar I think. They look like little Vienna Sausages.

I use both the pureed meat (chicken & turkey flavor) in the little jars, but she also likes the meatsticks (chicken & turkey flavor) cut up as a treat (of course with a little juice poured over it).......the pureed meat is great because it gives her plenty of moisture (like wet food would) and her poo has been much more normal since she's been eating it (it was hard little pellets when she only ate dry kibble)...... the puree is also easiest to crush up her meds and stir in....... she can't seem to taste it in there...... the sticks I just use as a treat occasionally.......
....but best of all - SHE DOESN'T YAK IT!.......

Thanks so much for the great advice! I'll get the Gerber's chicken and Gerber's turkey and Gerber's lamb for my sweet boy, and that will surely work. A couple of jars of the meat sticks should help as well.
Ruggie is having a tough time with the dry cat food and the dry treats, and it looks like it's time for a switch. He's always had a delicate tummy.
And please let me know if anyone knows where I can get coupons for Gerber's!
For all those with aching necks or bodies, hope you all feel better. I have had a sore neck (right side down to my shoulder) for going on two weeks now. I thought it was my pillow and went and bought a new one from Bed, Bath and Beyond only to find it made my neck ache even more. I am returning the pillow this week. There is a market place in my area that has a number of stores inside. There is massage person in one of the areas and she gave me a card for a free massage when I walked by on my way to the wonderful bakery there(whom I bought that yummy chocolate ganache tart from). I think I might go and take her up on it this weekend.
Gallo come home now! Poor Opa. When Sylvester got out (when I was still with my ex) and disappeared for seven hours, I was beside myself with worry. I was so overjoyed when he came back in the wee hours of the morning.
We are gearing up for our conference now that it is next week. This afternoon, I am told I will be busy with printing of documents needed for the various meetings as well as starting to pack and ship all this stuff to the hotel. Oh boy!
I went to bed way too late last night (11pm) and I also missed the Perseid's meteor shower but I have seen it in past years and it is a sight to see. The first time I saw it I was at a Girl Scout Camp at Soda Springs in the Lake Tahoe area. The stars were so bright and the meteors fell like every few seconds. It was amazing. I actually like camping and wouldn't mind going sometime in the near future. So in light of staying up too late, I would like a nice three cheese omelete, side of extra crispy bacon, a small glass of orange juice and a large mocha, please. Thank you very much.

Oh yeah, I meant to tell you guys - I went outside last night for the meteor shower. There were thin light clouds here and there, but I could still see lots of stars. So I sat out there for quite a while, adjusting my eyes. It's really dark at my house (what's a streetlight?) and the only sounds were crickets and the distant sound of a train down the valley about 10 miles away. It was beautiful and peaceful. However...I didn't see a single meteor! Dang! I am hoping the weather clears up (it's raining now) and I will try again tonight.
Often hubby and I are on vacation during the Perseids and we get a big blanket, cover head to toe with bug spray (they grow HUGE skeeters in North Carolina - NNGM, I don't recommend you go there!) and lay on the beach for hours watching the light show.
